A historic spot for dinner, in a very laid back atmosphere (at least when we were there). Our table was inside but right on the edge of the lawn and we had a nice stroll before dinner was served.

My husband and I went to Tamarind House on our last night in Rarotonga. As we were on an island we were hanging out for some really good, fresh seafood. The seafood platter for $85 was worth every cent! It has prawns, scallops, mussels, fish, sushi, tika mata ( seviche) The décor and cleanliness of the restaurant is another level... More

This place never disappoints. Food, service, venue an absolute treat. Great value too with a top view too, if you go to Raro it's a must eat!

We recently visited Tamarind House whilst on holiday in Rarotonga with family. We came across it by chance whilst driving round the Island. A very fortuitous choice. The venue was spacious set in lovely gardens and the views were awesome out across the garden to the beach. The food menu and drinks menu was extensive serving both lunches and dinners,... More

Very highly rated but it appeared to few staff at front of house. Drinks took a very long time to be delivered. Entrée Shrimp and Pawpaw salad with mild curry mayo was delicious, the Seafood chowder was good as expected, Mains Pork Belly was dry and a very small servicing, the Slow Baked Lamb Shank was very tough, asked for... Everything was just great, the food, the service, the setting. Highly recommended. The menu is varied, and presented well. I'd go back in a flash.

We were told this was the best restaurant on the island, and we would absolutely agree from our experience. The old restored colonial villa is just beautiful, and in a stunning setting. The food was delicious and the meals were huge. The staff were friendly and attentive, and we left wishing we had more time to keep coming back.

We had read about this place in the local paper, tried the curry fish, which was amazing. Worth the money to try once.

Amazing setting and atmosphere, great for a special occasion. Try get a table by the open windows - amazing views at sunset, even on an overcast night! Plenty of gluten free options and great wine list. A highlight of our trip!

Usually try to have a meal here whenever we are in Raro, but this time a little disapointed with service and food. Went for lunch and while my wife enjoyed her Vegetable Lasangia my Fish sandwich was fairly average - turkish bread with a bit of lettuce, a couple of slices of tomato and fairly dry fried fish. $ 17.00...
