A restaurant that is a few blocks south of 18 de julio boulevard. The menu is a little odd in the way it is laid out, but the food is definitely great quality. The wine selection is pretty nice.

We visited Los Leños after another restaurant we had chosen was not open yet. So this was a random visit, but ended up being the perfect choice. At first it seemed like a Parrilla Restaurant, but the menu had so much more to offer. Besides the meat being prepared very well (as expected in a Parrilla restaurant) the sauce on... More

The menu is a absolute mess and makes no sense at all. only on the first page are the prices listed, that is if you choose the card in english. The spanish version has prices on all pages (8) Our waiter was very professional and kind. The last 5 did absolutely nothing but stand and talk. And the one that... More

Ate lunch here at the recommendation of our tour guide. So glad we did, the opening aperitif liquor was incredible and house made. The selection of grilled meats along with the side dishes were great! We tried the recommended Uruguayan wine which was a great choice! I wish we had something like this back home in the US.

This is the only restaurant within reasonable walking distance of our hotel (Esplendedor) in a rather shabby, shady area. it felt uncomfortable walking the streets. It is a typical BBQ based resto./bistro,with warm red walls & bull photos - a good atmosphere. An open, inviting BBQ grill, a reasonable menu but high prices. Our two fillet steaks bore no visible resemblance... More

My wife and I enjoy good quality grill beef and Los Lenos did not dessappointed us. Unfortunately many typical grill (Parrillada) restaurants in Uruguay offer poor quality grill beef to compensate for ofering low prices. The poor quality translates to very tough meat, difficult to chew in your mouth. We found this to be the case in many restaurants in... More

This is a traditional Uruguayan barbecue place. However, if you do not eat/like meat, it has a quite varied salad bar for dinner. Pastas are also quite good, and the ambience is pretty local and family oriented.

My mum and I had dinner at Los Leños on a Saturday night. We ordered the fish of the day, wok vegetables and Seafood soup (after lots of meat the previous nights). It was both very tasty. The white wine was also very good and served at the right, cool temperature. Our waiter was attentive and served us straight away... More

this was a horrible experience. Firstly the food wasn't good...the meat I ate was extremely dry. The waiter wasn't very attentive and I was charged a cover charge and tip charge. I have never been charged both of those charges on one bill and was obvious that they charged the extra tip charge because we are foreigners. I DO NOT... More
