Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

We just ate at this restaurant last night. We were the only people in the place at the time. The Trout ceviche, pizza (thin crust) and grilled Lake Trout were all superb. The service was excellent and we even talked to the owner who is...a gem. Highly recommend Ananau, you won’t be disappointed.More

We thoroughly enjoyed our meal! Everything was presented so prettily. It all tasted delicious. I really enjoyed the soup, salad and trout. Service was great and food was delivered in a timely manner. Peruvian desserts are not very special. Cheescake and mousses. The entrees and...soups are the standouts. Bottled water was served and greatly appreciated.More

Wish our tour director would have told us about this sooner. What a dinner, our friends ate vegetarian lasagna and trout cooked to perfection. We shared a pizza which was out of this world. The crust was made with flour made from quinoa. Our service...was impeccable, Wilson makes sure you are totally delighted with your dining experience while Andrea waits on your every need. We highly recommend you dine at this beautiful property.More

The owner, an incredible woman, with a very unusual & broad cultural baggage. You can spend hours hearing her amazing stories of the sacred valley - indeed, my fiance and I didn't want to move. It is not just knowledge, is has to do with...her own light. We will certainly return to visit her and have tea or lunch there again.More

Six of us went for dinner. Most of us ordered trout. One ordered beef tenderloin. One had soup. We were all very happy with the meals. Betty, the owner, told us right at the beginning, if we didn’t like the food, we didn’t have to...pay. We also had the dessert. Would highly recommend this place.More

Four of us came in about 7:30, they close at 8:30. It was a very slow weekday. The food was ok. We started with a big salad that was nice. Then had the trout fillet which was delicious. Someone else had the chicharrones, said it...was ok. Couldn’t help but feel that they were not very happy to see us come in within their last hour, so we skipped dessert altogether. The place was completely empty.More

Enjoyed a tasty shrimp-curry dinner. The starter salad (Ananau) featured quail eggs and heart of palm. Beautiful presentation. This seemed like a family-owned restaurant. The wait staff seemed genuinely eager to please.

We arrived mid-week without a reservation when the restaurant was packed with a group. Nevertheless, management seated us at the only open table and worked with our rudimentary Spanish to help us order. A quinoa soup was delicious, a local pink trout was very good,...and a potato dish was just OK. If we'd had another night to try Ananau, we would have eaten there again.More

We wanted to experience different restaurant in Yucay. Went for dinner there, only 4 options were given for us vegetarian folks ( not very accommodating). We ordered a soup of day ( Cream of Broccoli and Squash) and Neapolitan vegetables in tomato sauce. Both items...were good enough for dinner, however we had to get hot sauce for added flavour Waiting is little bit long once you order a food to get it on table. Waitress does not pay much attention to you once food is served.More

Outside was rather subdue, but a hidden gem on the inside. Service was a bit slow but they were warm and genuine people. Ananau served Peruvian and Western food. Dishes were attractive and appetizingly presented. First course and main courses were well prepared and well...seasoned. Peruvian desserts chosen was just so-so. Perhaps this was an acquire taste that we don't have.More

We walked far and I was tired and thirsty when we came to this restaurant. What a nice place. There food is excellent, staff very friendly. Though the food is not cheap it is very good. Quite a varied menu and we sat in the...garden. Nice place to sit with a cold beer, good company and good food. Will come back.More
