Our best dining experience in Peru, and that is SAYING a lot, since Peruvian food is fabulous. The chef and owner Eduardo offered to make special dishes for us (2 couples) that were not on the menu, and he did NOT disappoint. I don't recall the names but he provided us with 3 appetizers and 3 main dishes that was about the best food I have ever tasted - and all for less than $20/person. . Eduardo is a true culinary artist who also sat with us with and told stories of how he learned to cook dishes from all over the world, and the synthesis of which has become his own unique menu. Kampu was an unforgettable experience.

We went for lunch, by reservation, and decided that the Chef and his team will surprise us with the best of their repertoire.
Everything was SPECTACULAR, even my 10-year-old son, who doesn’t dare to just try new things, was amazed at everything we could taste.
The atmosphere is warm and intimate inside a traditional house in Urubamba, the staff is exceptional, friendly and always with a smile, and well the chef a genius. We enjoy every dish!
It was so good that no photos I have, I just dedicated myself to enjoy!

We enjoyed our evening at Kampu which was recommended by our hotel. The food was excellent and unique, very flavorful. Eduardo the Chef is very engaging and very attentive to our needs.
Was a great surprise in a non as populous area of PERU.

As soon as you enter this place you are aware of the contrast, the entire space has a thousand tones, among which I would highlight the turquoise wood that separates the covered area from the outdoor patio. There were two of us and we ordered 3 dishes plus dessert, each one more outstanding. The spectacular and fresh trout tiradito, the spicy prawns (I want to highlight the perfect point in which the prawns were cooked, maintaining their body without being overcooked, juicy) that had a creamy and delicious yellow sauce. Also the house curry, which we ordered with tenderloin but which can be made with trout or prawns, was delicious, with many vegetables that go well together without overshadowing any of the others. The latter is served with a kind of pita bread that, dipped in the sauce, is enough to cry with emotion. To close we had the lemon cake that has a cookie base that is the bomb and that is accompanied with the candied lemon peel… which gives it a kick! We washed down all the food with pisco sour that they make divinely there. Thank you very much Laura for your kindness, smile and advice and to you Eduardo for having learned (after passing through Expo 92 ;) ) everything that we have been able to enjoy today. Eternally grateful for the experience, and we will recommend it to all those who visit Peru because it is well worth a trip to Urubamba. See you soon, Matilde and Luis

A quiet place for an Asian/African/Peruvian fusion meal. Let yourself be guided by the chef's recommendations. You won't regret it!! Very good drinks to accompany an exceptional meal (the pisco sour is excellent). It is best to make a reservation so that the chef can prepare (especially if you have large groups)

Really recommended! The best we have eaten in Cusco, all the dishes first class, an unforgettable experience!…. Let yourself be seduced by the chef's recommendation, they brought us 6 different dishes and ALL the gourmet dishes prepared with the best seasoning and sophistication! A 10 out of 10

Kampu was one of the best meals I've ever had! My fiance and I enjoyed a lovely afternoon lunch curated from start to finish by the chef Eduardo who put so much love, effort, and attention into all of our dishes. Eduardo starts by asking for any dietary restrictions/preferences and then concocts an amazing menu for you from start to finish based on ingredients he has on hand. We started with perfectly fried eggplant and local honey, continued with a warm shrimp ceviche, and ate a miso based curry and cajun style shrimp dish for our mains. The miso curry was decadent and layered and filled with beef, shrimp and veggies - it was hands down the star of the show and a dish we will be reminiscing about for a long time. If in Urubamba we definitely recommend making a reservation and going to Kampu!

I posted this same review on Google, but it deserves to be in two places. The food was delicious. This is one of those rare places that is both a fantastic meal and an experience. Eduardo is the chef and owner, and he made sure that we were comfortable and taken care of. This restaurant is his passion, and he wants to share that with people. He made us two fantastic dishes, one was a miso and mushroom curry, which had an unbelievably umami flavor, and another was a tajine, with a special tomato curry sauce. He put his flare in everything and it was delicious. We also had a fantastic starter of crispy eggplant, warm shrimp ceviche, and a desert of homemade key lime pie.
The man is an artist and this place should not be missed. Eduardo is very welcoming, extremely interesting, and will sit and chat with you if you're open with that. You should be, he has great stories and has lived a very interesting life. All in all this experience was a complete pleasure.

This place is a hidden gem and definitely worthy of a visit! When you first walk in it’s a beautiful outdoor area, with seating inside/outside! A very peaceful happy vibe..even before eating! Lara, our server was amazing and so friendly! Then you meet Chef/Food Artist Extraordinaire Eduardo! He comes out and explains how he has no set menu and asks us to trust that he will make food for us based on what he’s feeling! Just say “YES” to this and trust the man and his process! He will not steer you wrong! Everything was delicious! He also took into account our dietary needs (vegan, Gluten Free)! Everything is fresh and made with love! And the man himself is like is food..bigger than life and full of positive energy! I highly recommend this restaurant!! It’s a total experience and you leave feeling happy and full!

This restaurant is a highly recommended unique fun and relaxed experience. Chef Eduardo literally makes you feel at home and he customized dishes to our tastes and dietary restrictions. You can taste the fresh ingredients, the love and passion that goes into making the food. The Thai, Indian, Peruvian, Brazilian tastes are all impeccably executed by Eduardo’s genius. Highly recommend!!

We dined as large group of friends and had the most fantastic experience and meal. Because we were 13 people chef Eduardo created the menu and served it family style. Which meant we got to taste about 9 different dishes. All were outstanding though the tirado was my personal favorite. Probably the best I had in all of Peru. (The only thing I might skip is the fried wontons.) It’s hard to imagine how he can prepare such a broad and imaginative bunch of dishes so well and so quickly. He serves beer and wine at very reasonable prices. This is a must stop for everyone visiting the Sacred Valley.

If you’re in Urubamba, this is a foodie lovers paradise. The cuisine is such a fun fusion of Peruvian, Thai, and Brazilian flavors. Laura, the lady of the front of the house, is so sweet and generous. The atmosphere and decor is eclectic, adorable and so welcoming. Making a reservation is an absolute must. I do believe this is a 2 person show (Laura and the chef, maybe one more helper?) so the reservations help them pace the traffic and ingredients for the day. Keep the back end of the restaurant visit open and allow yourself the time to sit and enjoy the fun music and Calle (the restaurant cat). This is a place you will want to savor. Everything we had so delicious. And you can really taste the thought and care that went into the entire menu. We had the Peruvian Thai style ceviche, Kampu Moqueca, Picante de Langostinos and the key lime pie dessert. LOVED every bite of it. Their mint lemonade was also a refreshing hit. And you can smell the fruits as Laura blends and juices away. This is a place you won’t regret making the trip to visit! Salud!

It’s a great culinary experience. The blend of different flavors and techniques makes it a complete experience. I usually ask the chef for recommendations and simply enjoy a fantastic meal, feeling like I’m almost touching the sky.

A truly unique and unforgettable experience!
My dad and I were lucky enough to secure a reservation for lunch just as they were opening. They only take six reservations per day:
Chef Eduardo was very welcoming. He sat with us and explained the menu; a fusion of Peruvian, Indian and Thai cuisine: We felt like guests in his home: Laura was also very friendly and made the best Pisco cocktails we’ve ever had!
We enjoyed a delicious complementary fried eggplant appetizer, followed by the Mediterranean pot appetizer. My taste buds were on overdrive! My dad enjoyed his meatball entree that came out sizzling; my fillet mignon was cooked to perfection. For dessert, we shared key lime pie…the perfect ending to an excellent meal.
Chef Eduardo and Laura are very personable and treated all their guests like family. The only accept cash, so be prepared. Worth every sol and hope to return one day!!

The food in Peru is very good, but among all the delicious meals we had, lunch at Kampu stands out as a peak experience. Chef Eduardo is a culinary genius. Me and 12 friends showed up hungry at his doorstep. We didn’t order anything. Instead, we just sat down and let our chef feed us in whatever manner he chose. Dish after fabulous dish was sent out of the kitchen, in an astonishing variety. Chef Eduardo can cook anything — exquisitely fried eggplant, melt in your mouth citrusy trout, a Moroccan tagine better than any you might eat in Morocco. If you travel to Urubamba do not miss this restaurant. And if you manage to snag a table, leave everything to the chef — he knows what’s best, and in what order to present it to you.
