After an unforgettable day hiking Machu Picchu, we were absolutely drained and in desperate need of relaxation, great drinks, and a memorable evening. That’s exactly what we found, thanks to Karim, Macdeli, and their incredible colleagues. From the moment we were seated beside the cozy fire pit on the patio—a stunning setting that felt like pure magic—the team elevated the experience to something truly extraordinary.
Karim and Macdeli didn’t just serve us drinks; they crafted masterpieces. Every cocktail was perfection, bursting with flavor and presented with care. Their warm demeanor, impeccable attentiveness, and genuine passion for hospitality made us feel like VIPs. Ceviche making class with Jharol was great! It was part of the experience in the Tambo del Inka hotel. They set us up with all the ingredients and walked us through step by step on how to prepare the ingredients and then mount and plate the dish. It was great. He even walked around helping taste test with us and figure out what ingredients would be necessary to balance out the final flavor!

Pablo made our dining experience at HAWA truly unforgettable. From the moment we arrived, his warm and attentive service stood out. He was incredibly knowledgeable about the menu, offering thoughtful recommendations tailored to our preferences. His genuine enthusiasm for the restaurant’s dishes enhanced our appreciation for the creative flavors and beautiful presentation. Pablo’s professionalism and charisma turned an already fantastic meal into an exceptional experience. The atmosphere, combined with his top-notch service, made HAWA a highlight of our trip. Visited this restaurant recently and found the overall experience underwhelming. The portions served were quite small and the flavors of the dishes were just average, not quite meeting expectations. Additionally, the prices felt disproportionately high considering the portion size and taste. Might not be the best value for your money.

Great restaurant at fantastic hotel. They served a fantastic bday dinner with champagne and 8 courses plus wine pairings and a cake which made the birthday so special. Our lovely waitress Lucila and the manager Diego made sure everything was perfect!
Would definitely stay at this hotel again. And spa was great too!!

I have had an excellent experience at this bar:
On one of the first nights, Lucila recommended a very good mocktail, while Delfur gave us suggestions on how to explore the surrounding areas.
And finally, on our last night of staying at the hotel, they surprised us with a glass of sparkling wine and wished us luck on the trip. In addition, Raúl offered us to share the starter and the main course on two individual plates, which made the experience even more special.
We appreciate the advice and treasure the good times they gave us during our stay.

Honest opinion: They don't realize what a gem they have in this restaurant.
We did the five course tasting menu a few days after trying the 14 course Alma Mater at Central in Lima, so we come having experienced tasting menus from Peru.
The menu was intelligently put together. Even when we had two courses with lamb as the main focus, the preparation was so different that they were completely unique and novel on the palate.
Our server Wilmar introduced us to each of the courses, many of which included farm-to-table ingredients.
We were also quite pleased with the wine pairing that was selected by Oswaldo. Each of the wines was South American and complimented our courses. We also spent a good 15 minutes just talking with him after our dinner. He was a pleasure!
Like I said, get in while they are underpriced. When they finally figure out that their tasting menu is worth more, we will still be back for another amazing experience!

Many thanks to Jharol for helping our family make personalized wood fired pizzas under the stars. This was one of the best tasting and most memorable meals that we had in Peru. The entire staff at Tambo Del Inka went above and beyond to make our stay extraordinary.

Thank you Walter and Aldair for your hospitality! My sister (vegan) and I (vegetarian) sometimes struggle to find good food in smaller towns and figured a higher-end hotel could accommodate and it didn’t disappoint! I had a lovely local cheese platter and my sister had a vegetable risotto. Then we did the pisco tasting (3 types poured + you make your own pisco cocktail) which was informative and fun! All our food, plenty of pellegrino, and the tasting plus a tip was around $60 USD for each of us. Maybe it’s not a steal in Peru, but by US standards, an excellent price for a fun evening in a 5-star location!

Hawa Restaurant was excellent. We stayed at this hotel and had several meals at the restaurant. The space is beautiful, and food was delicious, and the service was amazing. I enjoyed trying Peruvian dishes I had not seen on other menus, including paiche, a fish from the Amazon basin, and quinoa risotto, both of which were wonderful. Juan Pablo was our server multiple times and was attentive, welcoming, and answered any questions we had. I highly recommend this restaurant.

After looking at the reviews I was expecting Hawa to be really great food - but it was pretty average and not good value at all. It’s at least double the price of anywhere nearby and the quality doesn’t reflect this. All 7 diners, with different starters and mains, were disappointed with our meals. The service was good and attentive though and the dining room/ambience is nice, if a little bit empty..

We only enjoyed breakfast, included in our stay at Tambo del Inka (a luxurious and spectacular hotel). The breakfast buffet was super complete, with a separate menu to choose different types of omelettes, Benedictine eggs, etc. An excellent local musician improved the experience with his harp. Of note is Brian's efficient and warm service, always remembering our preferences.

We had a pleasant experience dining at Hawa Restaurante especially because the waiters were really nice. We had Pablo as the waiter for dinner and he was great. It was our first day in Peru and he was very friendly and helpful - gave us great suggestions on the Peruvian food and drinks.
The breakfast spread was also amazing!! it was the best breakfast we had! I highly recommend it. The peruvian soup was my favourite :)

While staying at the Tambo del Inka, my husband and I ate every meal at the Kiri Bar or at Hawa, enjoying the great food and service and the beautiful ambiance. On the night of our 25th wedding anniversary, server Wilbert arranged for a special dessert, champagne, and a serenade! What amazing service to remember and help us celebrate! Thank you to the staff of Kiri/ Hawa and to Wilbert for creating this wonderful memory. Five stars.

The food was extremely delicious and, most importantly, they were able to accommodate my “no cilantro” requirement. The food was beautifully presented and was extremely delicious. Our compliments to the chef. The complimentary buffet breakfast had a nice array of dishes including Andean ones. The restaurant was extremely clean and staff very friendly. Our first night there we had a waiter, Isaai, who was just a joy to interact with and we ended up requesting him every night at dinner service during our stay. He had dinner and wine suggestions that were on point. He even went out of his way to create a mixed salad that was not on the menu which we had almost every night.
