Went yesterday with my sister and friends. It is a cozy place. Variety of appetizers, puzzas, pastas. Everything was very tasty. I had capelletti in bologna sauce. It was good. Pizzas were very tasty too. Service was great.
My wife of 45 years used to come here after the movies for pizza back in the 1970s and it's still great. Eat in, take out or delivery.. The crust is thin, probably 5-6 types. Our favorite is the Margarita ( tomato and cheese). They...also serve pasta and other things and it's known as a good Italian place. But the pizza is what has brought in the crowds for ever. Waiting time to sit down on Friday and Saturday night can be long but always worth itMore
Best pizzas on town and best service! A must to do in Lima! Variety of toppings, excellent service at the bar, safety and security at the parking lot for free.
The Thin crust on their Pizza is absolutely Phenomenal. This is from someone who literally lived next to one of best pizza places on the US East Coast. Their Mozzarella in Carrozza is also highly recommended. Breaded Mozzarella with tomato sauce. (Tomato sauce is a...bit sweet for my taste. You can easily scrape it off here and it's light on the Pizza) I was looking for other restaurants to try in Lima, and after seeing they are #1, have to admit I feel somewhat validated.More
Very nice and cozy place, pizza is really good, fare prices, good service. The problem that take no reservation so sometimes you have to make line.
Even though I began calling the restaurant every five minutes at 12:20 hours, my call was finally answered at 13:15 hours. I ordered a familiar ham pizza, which arrived overcooked.
La Linterna featured a cozy atmosphere and it quickly became a happening place within 45 minutes of our arriving. We eat at around 7 pm. The staff was friendly but not overly bothersome and the food served was absolutely delectable. The Vegetarian lasagna was rich...and delicious. It is obviously a favorite of the locals and we can see why. Highly recommend. It really was not that expensive compared to American meals but it was the most expensive meal I believe we had during our trip. I think $40 USD.More
Nothing special about the pizza. Fancy for no reason. Expensive prices. Not worth it. The wine is good.
i love their pizza so much (crunchy & thin crusted) that it my go to place to celebrate my birthday :) love the variety of pizzas, their appetizers, the pasta is to die for as well (totally recommend ‘spaghetti aglio e olio’ and anything with...their pesto sauce). was expecting a bit more from the lasagna (de la casa) but it was ok. the service is amazing too! absolutely recommend this wonderful place!More
We ordered pizzas from La Linterna on Christmas Day since our plans fell apart. We made a few calls before and as expected most restaurants were closed. What a great surprise though! The thin crust pizzas were excellent. We decided to go to the restaurant...a few weeks later and were not disappointed. It's a casual, family friendly restaurant with great service. Highly recommend the pizza Primavera, California and the Prosciutto one. We enjoyed their sangria as well. We don't recommend the garlic bread though. We definitely want to go back for date night.More
There were 6 of us for dinner on our last night in Lima. Service was excellent. We had pizzas and a variety of pasta dishes (canneloni, lasagna). We drank sangria and house wines.
Yesterday I went to this restaurant to celebrate with my GF. To my surprise they did not have my reservation I made the same day in the morning. Then when we ordered our pizzas the waiter wanted to sell us up their dishes. Linterna, I...think this is not a Mac resto. Pizza had a thin crust and tasty. However the sangria I ordered caused me and my GF a strong headache. We were not able to sleep well. Compared to other pizzas I tried in Lima, this place is overpriced. The service is not as good as in other restos. Hence I will not recommend this place.More
La linterna has some of my favorite pizzas in Lima. I went back there yesterday and I hadnt been back in years, I was not dissapointed. The light is dim, the waiters and the owner are very attentive, they even have buttons on the table...to call the waiter to your table. I recommend sitting in one of the booths near the windows and ordering the capracciosa pizza or the 4 quesos. The hierba Luisa limonade is great, their pan con ajo is good but not 9 soles good. I will be going back to this restaurant again soon.More
Delicious thin crust pizza in San Isidro. Family-friendly, good service, informal. We were a party of five and arrived at different times but we're served immediately. The pizza was thin crust and with fresh ingredients. We ordered freshly squeezed orange juice.
