El Pan de la Chola is, very simply, the best bread shop in Lima. Good ingredients, good baking, and a clear commitment to conistancy and quality make El Pan de la Chola really excellent. Our personal favorite, is the Pan Rustico which is so delicious...warm and fresh that its perfect with just a touch of butter.... only problem is that its hard to wakl it home in the morning without eating most of it along the way. Further, its not just the bread thats first class, they make real pastries: the croissant are light and flaky, the pain au chocolat manages to be both good pastry and delicious chocolate, and the morning buns pull off a delectable mix of pastry, cinnamon and orange essence. Delicious. In this time of covid, bread and pastries from el Pan de la Chola remind us of the pleasures of normalcy. As we; must wait to be able to sit down and have the delicious offerings here with a nice coffee or juice at a proper table, it is a perfect place to stop and take things home (their covid procedures are excellent--just be aware that they don't accept cash).More

LOVED our breakfast here - great juices, amazing fresh bread. I enjoyed their avocado toast, as well as an out-of-this-world almond croissant. I wish I'd had time to try everything.

They nail it here. They know their bread, and it has great character. World class. I make it a point to have breakfast here every morning when in Lima.

Why sell burnt bread? Also, the hygiene is bad. No gloves when touching ingredients. No hair coverings. I will not be back here as health comes first.

We took out pastries here one morning and they were so good we went back for brunch. Staff were helpful and friendly. I had the caprese sandwich on wheat bread (special request) which was fabulous. Also fresh OJ and a nice coffee. Lisa has a...type of smoothie which she really enjoyed. Because of an error in our bill we got a loaf of bread to go which we munched on happily for 3 days afterwards. It was a multigrain with rye seeds inside -crispy on outside, soft on inside. Best loaf of bread I’ve had in a while!More

Incredible fresh sandwiches in a lovely, modern cafe. Really flexible when changing the sandwich fillings too, and good WiFi. Massively recommend for brunch or lunch!

We only stopped in for a coffee, but then loved the atmosphere, the space, the quick service, and we ended up buying some fresh bread and croissants for the next day as well as the ciabatta with dip that we smacked on with our coffee....Everything was to perfection - the bread tasted so fresh and healthy. The seeds and the best texture made for the best bread experience in my last 6 weeks in South America! The coffee was quite strong - the real stuff, and the takeaway goods would easily keep us going for the next day! A decent size :) Not as cheap as a regular bakery, but the quality was worth the price 👍More
