Loved the ambiance of the restaurant and the food. The look of the restaurant caught me eye before the menu did. The staff was also very friendly and did have english speaking waiters. I had the osso bucco and it was delicious. Really great way to treat yourself to some peruvian food. Its off the main drag but worth looking... More

Just around the corner from our hotel in Lima off a charming lane. Outdoor courtyard and lots of indoor seating as well. Attentive service, good food (recommend the ratatouille dish) and the cathedral (large) pisco sour. Several varieties of lemonade as well. Drinks, appetisers, main course and dessert for 230 soles.

Hello Happy Canadian, Great to hear you had a great time with us. I see you liked the Andean ratatouille panzottis. This dish is cooked 3 three times: poached, then on the pan and finally au gratin. Have a nice day, Joaquín de la Piedra SAQRA More

The food wasn't that good compared to the other Peruvian food . We ordered a beef and a fish. None of them were acceptable .

Good morning Xia P, We appreciate your comment and pictures. Both dishes look amazing. Sad to hear you are disappointed. We do, however, strongly disagree: we not find them unacceptable. From your pictures, I can see you ordered: 1. Bonito escabeche with chickpea puré: The bonito has been pickled in red vinegar, red onions, yellow chili for 2 days. We... More

We ate here twice as it was so good, so the majority of the Trip Advisor reviews are spot on. Our pisco sours were excellent and the ceviche was equally; as was the grilled octopus. The banana truffle creme brûlée was outstanding. Service was prompt and friendly as well. There is indoor and outdoor seating and the exterior is not... More

Good morning TDakin, Thank you for visiting twice. Our cebiche is spot on. We follow the traditional recipe to the dot. And the banana crème brûlée with liquid chocolate truffles is a total success. Please drop by when you are in town again. All the best, Joaquín de la Piedra SAQRA More

Staff moved us to an outside table as soon as one was available and assisted us with sharing both our two appetizers and main dishes.....this enabled us to maximize our Sara experience. Each dish was well prepared...both traditional dishes as well as new new culinary choices. Great small restaurant!

We had a late lunch/early dinner there while staying in Courtyard Miraflores. This restaurant is about a block from the hotel. We sat outside and enjoyed the fresh air. We started with their very popular soup, crema del alcachofas, then continued with ceviche de pescado, Bonito Apaltado and Ossobuco meat. Everything was delicious and also nicely presented. We finished with... More

We only spent two nights in Lima but a group of 8 of us ended up eating here both evenings. The menu is authentic peruvian and cooked beautifully. Everyone was happy with what they had and impressed with the presentation. Also recommend the cocktails and dessert!

My friend and I are vegetarians, and this was our first visit to Lima. We stumbled across Saqra on Trip advisor, and went there for dinner. OMG. AMAZING AMAZING AMAZING FOOD. We had the Portobello anticuchos and peruvian corn pepián and the Mushroom Ceviche. Both were so flavorful, and so filling. WE lOVED it. This is where we had our... More

My husband & I loved the food, it was our first dining experience in Lima that was recommended to us. The quality of the food was excellent coupled with great service which friendly and efficient. The garlic prawns entree was too die for.

Description
Saqra, from the Quechua language meaning “little devil”, “naughty” or “mischief maker”. Saqra also refers to one of the characters found in the festival of the Madonna of Carmen in the village of Paucartambo, Cusco. Here, this happy little devil wins the heart of the Madonna with his childish pranks and mischief making as he dances around her playfully in the procession. These ideas inspired the creation of Saqra as a restaurant bar that offers modern Peruvian food where we reinterpret the Peruvian identity in a playful and contemporary key, conjuring up fun and colourful results. Saqra, in essence, is not really a place but a state of mind where this little devil plays a delightful host who wants that all his guests live a unique experience, where they meet again with their the inner child, sometimes long lost.
