This gem of a restaurant is located right on the San Blas plaza (square). As soon as you walk through the doors, you are surprised by a lovely open air courtyard with umbrellas, heat lamps and a large wood fired oven. (Indoor seating is also available). Service was good, the food was very good - they even had a local... More

Let’s start indicating that this place was recommended by a local guide. We eat there twice, knowing that there are lots of magnificent options to eat in the city. Recommendations: Cuy, Alpaca anticuchos and pizza. Leave your fears ant home and try this food, you will not be disappointed. Although prices are reasonable and not excessive, you most remember you... More

Even though it is frequented mostly by travelers, Pachapapa has a very authentic, relaxed Peruvian feel. We ate in their beautiful candlelit courtyard and tried dishes that were new to us (cuy!) with the utmost faith in the quality of the ingredients and preparation. HIghly recommended for a delicious San Blas experience.

We were staying in San Blas – this place was rec’d by our tour books and our B&B host. Both were right. A lovely hidden courtyard had for a pleasant setting with a musician playing softly. The pizza looked very tempting, and I went for it. It was very good. I had the cured alpaca ham on it – skip... More

A large group of us went here for dinner. The food was good and the setting great. They handled a large group with ease. The wine menu had good options and people were happy with the food.

Ate here with quite a large group of people and it is probably fair to say that most loved the food. I was disappointed with the choices for vegetarians. They don't really cater much for them. You would probably end up having a pizza. Lovely setting though and efficient staff. Good atmosphere.

Liked the wood oven cooking and outdoor courtyard seating. I had the baked trout, my husband chose the alpaca. Big pitcher of limeade. Portions were huge. Very good food. Service was a little slow, especially when a big group showed up. Had we returned, we would have ordered the cuy, which was roasted in the wood oven and looked tasty.

Very good food, much of it traditional and local, great staff. This restaurant is well worth the upscale price.

My husband's and my meals were delicious: aji de gallina (a creamy chicken and rice stew) and beef stew. We both loved the authentic and quaint atmosphere. PachaPapa is located in a hidden, but open air courtyard complete with space heaters for cold nights. The restaurant also has a large wood fired oven in the courtyard where they cook yeast... More

Sitting in the pretty courtyard on a warm sunny afternoon, enjoying wine and pizza was fabulous. A large mound of dough warms beside a wood-fired pizza oven, where breadrolls and pizza are cooked in front of you. The pizzas were great.
