Located in the gardens of a museum. Very modern glass structure. Good menu. Ravioli with mushroom and veal cheek is amazing, mushroom soup not good. The corvina was okay, alpaca okay, and the pork also okey. We tried eating at the best restaurants while in Peru; but they are all in Lima. No real luck in the Sacred Valley, Machu... More

Had a great time dining on andean inspired soups and desserts for lunch today at the MAP cafe. Presentation of the food was top notch and quality of ingredients was evident - it was a meal with exceptional flavor (sometimes difficult to find as a vegetarian). In addition, our waiter Gareth was absolutely lovely, providing excellent and attentive service answering... More

The setting is lovely and the food and service were excellent. However, if you're put off by large tour groups, you may have a problem here. It's a very small room, and if a large group dines at the same time, as happened to us, then the sound level will be quite distracting. Prices are also very high for Peru... More

Totally unexpected, excellent food and settings. The gallery n the museum in the same compound is a plus. One of the best restaurants that we have been in our travel, far better than some Michelin starred one. If you are in Cusco, do not miss this one

Visited having been recommended. Good Peruvian food, beautifully presented in a lovely space created within an old courtyard actually in the Museums of pre-Columbian Art in Plaza Nazarene. Dinner is 2 courses for 160 sols including an amuse bouche and a sorbet between courses. If you want dessert the price for 3 courses is 216 sols however my husbands chocolate... More

Bright and airy restaurant set in the courtyard of the Museum of Pre-Colombian Art, with tables outside as well as in. Two dishes recommended to us were outstanding: the ceviche with passionflower (although they substituted paice, an Amazon River fish, for the usual trout), and the cream corn soup with local mushrooms, fava beans, and a tiny poached egg. We... More

We were wiped out from the altitude and traveling to Cusco. We almost canceled our dinner to sleep, but so glad we didn't. This place was hard for our taxi driver to find. It's a small little glass box restaurant outside. The service was amazing and the food was even better. Probably one of the nicest restaurants I've been to... More

The setting of this restaurant in the museum for pre-Columbian art is wonderful. The food is delicious. The service was very good. It is an expensive price fix restaurant. Although this is a small restaurant, a large, noisy group and a family with three very unruly children spoiled our experience. This is NOT, a place for young children. It is... More

MAP was recommended to us by a friend who lived in Lima for 9 years. It is located in a glass rectangle within the courtyard of the museum, just a short walk from the main plaza in Cusco. We visited on a rainy Sunday night and were one of only two tables occupied. Our food, paiche (an Amazonian fish) and... More

MAP is situated in the courtyard of a very fine pre-Columbian museum. It's a thrill to see the rich artifacts of the museum and then dine in an upscale restaurant. As vegetarians, we were accommodated with a good quinoa dish and treated royally by Yefhri, our waiter. This is a serene, quiet Cusco experience, very welcome after a day of... More
