We were in Arequipa for a week and we went to eat in Capriccio restaurant at least 5 times! It is very close to Plaza de Armas. Food is amazing. Best pasta we've tried in Peru so far. Cakes were also delicious. Juices, lemonade and "chicha" (typical Peruvian drink made with purple corn) were just amazing. I'll recommend everything from... More

Good food. Not overly pricy considering it is so close to the plaza. Large portions for what you pay.

Went in for a piece of cake to enjoy the remaining of the evening before we took the bus to Copacabana. I took the lemon pie, it was a bit blend and too much like whipped cream. Atmosphere was really nice though and staff was nice

I stayed there for over two hours and everything was perfect. I had the time to try their pastries, pizza, wine and gin and everything was incredible + great music on the radio... And did I tell you about "el vino tinto de la casa"? AMAZING :-) Highly recommend

Went for lunch here after we had visited the monastery of Santa Catalina on our last day. We didn't want to rush as we didn't have anything planned until our taxi to the airport late afternoon. This place was perfect for a snack lunch. Two of us had sandwiches (roasted vegetable pita and chicken with avocado), youngest daughter just fancied... More

We were looking for an all-around restaurant close to the plaza and decided to come. We were amazed by the quality of the food, prices are around S/. 30. You have everything from pasta to burgers and everybody was happy with their plates. Service was ok, they took about 30 min to bring the food. The place is beautiful and... More

We had been to their other restaurant in town and where passing so called in for dinner. Same menu, same prices, service was good but the meal wasn't as good. The lomo saltido tradicional was just a little overdone and it wasn't presented as well. Still good but the other in Mercaderes Street is better.

Capriccio is well known in Arequipa for its excellent pastries and cakes. They have several venues in town. I like the one in Cayma most. But they all have excellent desserts. The so called gourmet in Santa Catalina has a nice interior, but its food is just regular good food, nothing exceptional. I had a lasagne which obviously was prepared... More

My daughter and I ate here on our first night in Arequipa. The food was pretty good, but we had a server who was engaged in small talk at the back of the restaurant, looked like a boy/girl thing, and we had trouble getting her attention for service throughout the meal. Management needs to do some refresher training.
