Slipped into this microbrew last evening for Happy Hour, I was pleasantly surprised! I drank both their Stout and Nitro Stout. Big ole mugs and reasonably priced, I will be back for another sample this evening! Also had their guacamole and chips, it wasn't fresh made, but still very reasonably priced and a huge portion.

Some of the worst beer I've ever had. Pretty sure I could make it better in my bathtub. Didn't even feel like a brewery inside, but more of a dirty dive bar with little to no passion for the beer. Disappointing.

I like to eat early and this was the only place open. Also, I like a nice microbrew. They had 3 of the 7 on the menu so I got the 750ml Rose, and left 1/3 of it. It was an OK beer and a nice change from Cuenca's usual... But it wasn't enough to get the taste of stale... More

I have lived in Cuenca for over a year. Just started going here and must say their Stout is excellent. I sit at the small bar and get great service. Pedro never fails to greet me by name and make a point to make me feel totally welcome. I have not tried the other beers they have on tap... Why,... More

bad beer, bad service. do i need to say more? yes. the waitress was always smiling, but never present. she took a long time bringing us the menu and taking our order, a really long time. the beer is not worth a try, we tried the golden one and it has an awful taste, specially at the end. in plain... the Beer is good , but not excellent . But the real problem is their service . Staff should change. Would not go again.

I stopped in to sample a beer. I had the roja, not good at all. The worst part was the smell. It smelled like a open sewer. I thought maybe it was coming from outside but when I left, leaving half of a beer behind the air was fresh.

They offer a variety of draft-craft beers, which is rare in Ecuador. The nitro stout was my personal favorite. The ambiance was vintage and cozy. The small beer $2.50 was 500 mL and the large is served in a GIANT mug for $5.00. They offer bar snacks, play fun music, and have cute servers.

If you're tired of the ubiquitous pilsner, this is the place for you. I liked their stout nitro. My wife (and I) thought the regular stout was just so-so. We didn't eat there. It's worth the walk for a decent "chewy" beer. Besides, Cafe Moliendo is just down the street and the river walk is just a block away.

We were so happy to find this place. We are avid beer enthusiasts. There are two kinds of beer in Cuenca, Club and Pilsner. La Compania didn't have the best beer I've ever tasted, but they are a light in a very dark place. They have an interesting array of beers and all are reasonably priced. A liter size glass... More
