Love this place! The restaurant is in a beautiful old house, and the outside seating is really nice. Most of the time I order the gnocchi because it is the best gnocchi I've ever had. It melts in your mouth. The owner is Italian and he always visits all the tables, which is really nice. Last time we were there... More

Liked Carmine, the owner-charming and gracious! Food was very average. We had the Ecuadorian bass and a very bland pasta. Service was above average.

Was on my way to Galapagos on a cruise and we had dinner here. Never would I have expected a restaurant like this, wonderful atmosphere, waiters friendly, Carmine stopped by to check on us, excellent food. I had a portobello mushroom appetizer, it was like steak! The whole meal was a wonderful experience and when we were leaving, Carmine gave... More

This restaurant was amazing!! The owner Carmine made everyone feel welcome and at home. He was very good with suggestions especially since some people I was with had been having stomach issues from other food eaten in Ecuador. For the quality of the food the prices were good. The restaurant is set in a great big house (almost castle like).... More

Carmine is by far the best Italian food in Quito, but not just the food the atmosphere and reception are fantastic as well. The owner, an Italian, makes everyone feels at home, just be careful, if you let he will be choosing your dinner for you, which is nice if you want to be surprised. Strongly recommend the Osso Buco,... More

Good place to enjoy with friend or in a romantic date. The most impressive for the place (center north of Quito) is the house where is the restaurant. It looks like a castle and inside it's very pretty. The food is good and the choice is wide. Obvio, there is no price under 15$ for a correct dishes. I was... More

This restaurant was recommended to us by a local Ecuadorian family sharing our cruise. We were a party of 18 and some of us were catching a flight home in a few hours. Carmine, the owner personally recommended a dish to each person in the party based on their preferences. This way he was able to ensure that the preparation... More

Restaurant Carmine is a place were we felt home from the first minute we walked in! The warm welcome in the spectacular house, the excellent service and the fantastic food made this a perfect evening. Personally I really like fresh seafood and my boyfriend loves a good steak, we both left the place more than satisfied. If you look for... More

Description
One of the most famous Italian restaurant in Quito Ristorante Carmine It was with good luck that when Chef Carmine returned to Ecuador he found an old friend who was leaving the country and who had began the construction of a new Italian food restaurant in Quito. We all know to listen to the wise ones and let Divine Providence do the work, so that is what he did. After a short while, Ristorante Carmine Quito opened its doors in a restored republican house which overlooks a small but ancient plaza with hundred year old trees and a beautiful garden in El Batán. From the outside of the house it looks like a little piece of Europe has been transported to Ecuador and from the inside you will feel like you are eating in an excellent restaurant in Italy.
