Main courses fine but overpriced . Deserts were amazing and worth the money. Lovely atmosphere. Staff very pleasant and helpful.

I am not a professional reviewer, and this is just my opinion. My wife and I had dinner there just prior to flying back home, and a wonderful dinner it was. There is no doubt that the setting is unusual, one could say theatrical. Not having been in the Soviet Union we cannot share another reviewer's criticism. But we did... More

Great food. Great service. Was recommended by the concierge in our hotel. But was pretty lonely in there. Upon arrival the doorman came out and met us with 4 umbrellas since it was pouring rain. He escorted us back out after dinner too. Very happy to see us. Classic "theater" decor with lots of red velvet and chandeliers. Only thing... More

Dinner in Theatrum before the jazz concert in the Teatro National Sucre on 10 Feb (my birthday!) was the most wonderful experience. Not only they sent a car to pick me (I happened to be alone on that day) up from the hotel (free of charge), but the manager himself was in the car! When Jailan heard that there is... More

We went on a Sunday when not so much is open. So we hoped for the best--as this is a much recommended restaurant for tourists. Seafood was absolutely wonderful and a spectacular ceviche! Service was very good.

We were on a Quito tour and this was our lunch stop. The staff and owner were amazing how they greeted us-they were at our table for anything needed- water never ran dry.All was good, there was a some sort of Ecuadorian ribs, that were great ,falling off the bones. Also any thing that has to do with plantains, so sweet.

We ate here as part of a larger Quito tour, and had a nice dinner. There were many choices, and several native Ecuadorian native foods, which we enjoyed. Nice setting and it was a good start to our Quito cuisine experience.

What a delightful meal. Dishes were authentically Ecuadorean, fresh, and delicious. We were surprised the restaurant was not packed but we did eat on the early side. Best meal we had in Quito by far!

The moment I faced two-sided entry doors and the left door panel was closed I got suspicious. I remember about 30 years ago back in Moscow, USSR, this was a common practice. When we stepped into the restaurant and got seated my suspicious grew. I looked at red-painted walls, red velvet drapes and 1940th-style chandeliers, and it was like time... More

Our restaurant is located in Quito's Historical Center on the second floor of Sucre National Theater, Cultural Patrimony from the XIX century, an expression of renaissance classicism. In the entire second floor it is located the most important restaurant in Quito, THEATRUM Restaurant & Wine Bar that offers an extraordinary menu of the vanguard Mediterranean cuisine. One of our emblematic dishes is the Grilled tender octopus with mixed greens, cherry tomatoes, garlic tossed in pesto vinaigrette. Our classic Ecuadorian prawns on the grill with avocado mousse and tomato fondue.
