The selection and quality of food was great. The customer service also great- very friendly and helpful. Not necessarily a local place (it was full of tourists) but still a cool place to try local dishes.

We ate here with a group, OAT, so had only limited access to menu choices but what we had were limited to a couple of selections. What we had, namely ceviche and potato cakes, along with plantains, were very good.

We were exploring the area and decided to have lunch at Achiote. Food was good, service good too. The place looks nice, not outstanding but it was. Prices are ok for the quality of the food and service.

Loved this spot while staying in Quito. Pretty close to plaza foch, this place does a good blend of Ecuadorian cuisine. Got the ceviche, empanadas and another pulled pork dish all of which were very good. There was live music the day we went which...More

Food was delicious, well presented and menu was varied. The only reason for the 4 stars was that the service, although pleasant, attentive and courteous, was slow. We were the only table occupied for lunch on a weekend (4 people) and it took a very...More

ACHIOTE ECUADOR-CUISINE, we are the entrepreneurship of a small Quito family that has an extensive culinary tradition, where you can not only enjoy Ecuadorian food, but also feel the warmth of a home and a country located in the heart of the Andes . The restaurant offers an unforgettable cultural experience, with an extensive menu of innovative recipes that includes vegetarian options and a diversity of flavors that challenge the palate and bring an exquisite and renewed touch to Ecuadorian cuisine. All this in an intimate atmosphere, accompanied by good music and bilingual attention; in one of the most emblematic neighborhoods of Quito, La Mariscal. The ingredients used are organic, endemic and of high quality, always subjected to a process of gourmet preparation that pays homage to a town that knows how to make the heart happy from the palate.
