Probably we had higher expectations and those were not lived up. Mediocre service, average meals. Something I would not return.

Had a great time at Zao. We came to celebrate my daughter's birthday... food was delicious!! Pad Thai, curry chicken, and spicy ginger rice...10!!! Great service and nice surprise since the birthday girl ate for free!!

We couldn't be happier with our choice for Saturday lunch! I had Thai curry and my wife had a pad thai both delicious and very rich in flavours. Plus some sushi as a starter! Yummy!

One of the guides on our Galápagos cruise recommended Zao as one of his top choices for restaurants in Quito. We will be here only 3 nights so we wanted to not waste any meals. Javier was spot on. The restaurant was great. I'm always suspect of a restaurant that tries to serve all different Asian cuisine but Zao pulled... More

The restaurant has a modern/Oriental décor in keeping with the fusion theme of the food that is served. We both had the tuna, which was well prepared to the right degree of doneness. The veggies and rice were average. Nothing wrong and nothing special. In all a pleasant time and good meal but lacking a bit in character.

My girlfriend and I were here yesterday for her birthday dinner... everything about Zao was absolutely perfect! I cannot recommend this place enough. The food was phenomenal, the service even better, and the ambiance among the best in Quito. The music was chill electronic, which we did not expect, but it turned out to be more than appropriate for the... More

Very nice place and the food is pretty good. There are promotions for birthdays. The waiter made us feel very welcome and was very friendly. There are good meals for kids as well. I recommend the place.
