The sushi here is some of the best I've had anywhere outside of Japan. For dinner you need to get there when the door opens as it is very popular and fills up quick. When looking for the place you need to look on the building as there is no sign sticking out advertising the place.

We loved the food at Kintaro. Although the venue isn't much to look at - a very basic Japanese style casual restaurant, the food was excellent. We mainly had salmon maki and sushi and they were fresh, fragrant, authentic, accompanied with similarly fresh and spicy wasabi. A table next to us was having the sushi boat, a massive fascinating selection... More

As usual you find a place with stunning reviews - and you get average food. The sushi is good and fresh, but NOTHING special. It is very ordinary. It is like the sushi i buy in normal stores in Norway.

We found this place from a Japanese friend who just moved here. He insists it's the best sushi in town, and it is. Not everything is filled with queso crema, and we had the Tokyo roll- filled with unagi (eel or aguila in Chile). I've missed it so much! The yakisoba was also well done, with fresh house-made noodles. Service... More

Went there twice during our Santiago visit. Excellent sushi and sashimi and nice wine at good prices. Opened at 8 o'clock on Sat night - queue outside the doors!

We went there and we ordered the boat sushi combo. One of our party ordered something else since sushi is not the food she prefer. Her dish was truly expensive for the meal they provided (some pork teriyaki with boiled veggies). The veggies were almost inexistent but the taste of the pork was very good according to her. In our... More

First the owner is a real japanese. To me is something important. Second they serve an amazing sushi at affordable prices. You can get all kind of japanese meals..not just rolls, nighiri or sashimi. Great!!

Had a very satisfying meal in Kintaro!! Been missing sushi throughout our trip in South America and this is by far the best sushi we ever had!! Other than sushi as sashimi, Kintaro also offers a wide list of other Japanese dishes, hot and cold, cooked and uncooked. The price is also very reasonable, and the seating is spacious.

Great sushi! The rolls were big and fresh. They also have outdoor seating on the sidewalk and the service was fine.

Best sushi we've had in South America - not too expensive and well portioned. I love anything with salmon, and the fish was nice and thick and very fresh. The nigiri and rolls were delicious, the service is quick and friendly and the wine was super cheap. We're going to miss this place once we leave Santiago!
