.....a drive that took me past a bungee jumping point, where I stopped and wavered. Cowardice won - but I had a lunch "starter" of empanada from the shack close by. Nice. Thence to Casa Bosque. Thought I'd landed in a Grimms Fairy Tale for a moment. It's a knockout building. Built out of pine with everything else fitted to... More

Unique architecture alone is worth the visit: like something in a Tolkien storybook, but without any hobbits. We were greeted by a multi-lingual waiter who ensured that we received the food we wanted, considering our allergy challenges. While this resto is known for its steaks, we were treated to perfectly-cooked and nicely-seasoned whitefish called merluza. We asked for boiled potatoes... More

what a pretty place. Feels like you have stepped into a fairy tale. The host was very polite and we had our choice of searing. Right away our drink orders were taken and had a fantastic lunch. Go for the steak! It is excellent, soft and tender. Highly recommend it! Try the tea de llerbas it was fantastic too with... More

What can I say about this place? Well, it was my second time visiting for lunch (on Sunday), and I completely fell in love with the place, the cuisine and the service. Let's start for the place. Located in Los Andes mountain-town San José de Maipo (a.k.a. Cajón del Maipo), the surroundings are just spectacular, between mountains, Maipo river and... More

The architecture and atmosphere are incredible and the food was incredible. My steak was cooked to perfection and the creme Brulee' was one of the best I have ever tasted.

The food is well below in quality with respect to the wonderful architecture and decoration. Pork and beef were overcooked, hard and tasteless. Sweetbread —a very delicate dish— was grill-burnt on several spots. This gave it a bitter taste. We have eaten better pork and beef at the Mercado Central in Santiago. Service was of the same level of food.... More

We stopped at Casa Bosque on the way to Cajon del Maipo and felt we'd landed in Hobbit Town! We had never seen a building like this and it certainly puts a smile on your face when you discover the odd gnome! Walking through the restaurant we saw the griddle cooking meat which was vast and had some tasty looking... More

We found this restaurant via an after cruise wine tour. The tour provider brought us here for a catered luncheon. We were served roasted chicken breast which was perfectly prepared, tasty, tender and was accompanied by vegetables. The luncheon included wine and Pisco sours which were delicious. The table service was incredible. The property alone is well worth the visit.... More
