This is a great restaurant. Speciality seafood but plenty of other choices. Not much english spoken but staff went out of their way to be helpful. Great food.

I am not a professional reviewer, and this is just my opinion. Following a morning tour of the Osorno volcano, we decided to walk from our Puerto Varas hotel - about 1/4 mile - and try this restaurant. We were warmly greeted by an avuncular waiter and seated at a table with a nice view of Lake Llanquihue. There is... More

We happened by and noticed they had fish so decided to try it. I had shrimp cooked in garlic sauce. Very tasty, but the shrimp was a bit chewy. The wine was good and a very good pour. Dessert was a creams brûlée.

We wanted a restaurant that had good fish and our Chilean friends Kathy & Cano recommended the Ibis. The four of us arrived and our waiter greeted and looked after us very well. The restaurant is right beside the lake and is also a favourite of the locals. They had two types of pisco sours so I had to try... More

Everything well done. The lemonade was a pleasant surprise, very delicious! Lomo liso with spinach sauce was the main course.

Although me and my family had a full day after a trip to Chiloe, we had an excellent time there at Ibis. There were plenty of options, and I decided to have a congrip soup. Taste was very good. And the wine from Santa Rita was also very nice and in great temperature. The waiter was very animated and doing... More

Great steak place. Very much for a nice night with the family! The Machas are delicious with some good white wine.

Having travelled through Argentina (beef) and southern Chile (lamb) we were in search of some fish and a choice of 5 on the menu seemed fine to us. My wife and I both had fillets of a large trout (hers with a sherry sauce) that were both spot on. The wine was exactly right and drinks beforehand also. This place... More

The ambience is very nice, the food is excellent and the location was a convenient walk from our hotel on Lago Llanquihue. I had a barnacle and abilone casserole and my husband had congor eel, both of which were very good. We did not make a reservation so we appreciated being given a table during the height of dinner hour... More

Wide variety of seafood. I had abalone for appetizer and mains. Mains in a pot with garlic and chilli. Never had abalone before as it is unaffordable in Australia but was readonable here. The crepe my wife had was great as well. Crrpes suzette completed the night and all in all very happy.

Thank Eddie O
