Important: The name of this restaurant changed, it’s now : Apollo food village. Always very good! I tried the squid in black sauce.

Went to had dinner with my friends. Staffs welcomed us and assisted promptly. Great smiles from everyone. Saravanan helped to take order and did a fantastic job in ensuring we had a great time. As we went there to celebrate a friend’s birthday, he helped...us with bringing the cake. Thank you for the service. The food was also very nice. Great variety.More
We had dinner here on our last night, unfortunately the worst we had. Rice they serve is a joke, cheapest rice at Aldi supermarket is way better than this, paid S$10.8 just for the rice. Of course, the bad rice makes the dishes taste not...really good either. Also, they messed up first order, took a while so I was basically done till my wife got the right food. She had Prawn Mango Curry and could nicely fish out all prawns from the curry as they were not pealed in the kitchen. Really sad experience to finish our trip here.More
We decided to have a family meal whilst on holiday at Banana Leaf - glad we did! Super friendly staff & great food!! We would thoroughly recommend this restaurant and will definitely be back!!
At lunchtime we ordered and shared Malaba Chicken, Prawn Tikka and Gobi 65 (fried cauliflower) . The service was OK but the postprandial experience was offensive as I became unwell for the rest of the afternoon and then up all night with cramps, nausea and...D&V. One particular piece of chicken I consumed was slightly pink and undercooked and I believe this did the damage. My advice to future customers is “be wary”.More
After planning our visit to little India in Singapore for the sole purpose of eating delicious food, we decided to dine here. The food was outstanding and the size of the serving was more than filling. Their lime juice is worth writing home about! While...the food and service was amazing, the restaurant itself was a bit dingy and the bathrooms were truly disgusting and not well maintained.More
The worst service I have ever experienced in a restaurant in my life - and i lived in Belgium for 10 years😬. Went with my son on his last Friday in Singapore - as i know from past experience this is a good restaurant. No...interest from the staff in serving us - got the order wrong several times and took over 45 mins to bring us the first item in our order, cold. Had to wait another 15 for the rest to arrive. It wasn’t even particularly busy. Later when we had waited for our dessert for 30 mins (which didn’t arrive) the staff switched off the lights on our side of the restaurant effectively ejecting us and a party at another table and threw the bill on our table. Meanwhile the other half of the restaurant was still being served. Food was very ordinary too and overpriced. No apology at any point. Staff appeared to be arguing most of the time. Hard to fathom all the good reviews. very depressing experience.More
Worst dinner experience! Food is spoil! We ordered fish sambal briyani meal, Fish sambal was not sambal at all it was masala. Fish kinda spoil cause had the bad smell. Chicken masala meal the chicken spoil already All flaky and off the bone. Told the...counter staff, she jus stood there like a tree! Didn't care abt the food review Of all most staff don't understand basic English at all..More
Glad we made the effort to walk that bit further out of the centre of little India to get here. Came fairly early and restaurant was quiet, but that soon changed. Excellent service from the staff, then the food. Wide range of choices but we...had a lamb and a chicken with dhal and the most fantastic cauliflower dish. Add onion pakora naan and rice and we were truly happy. Would recommend wholeheartedlyMore
Food is delicious 😋 reminded me of Indian street food .. Highly recommend everyone to visit this place .
We are an American family in Singapore for our first time. AMAZING cuisine-flavor and quality was great! Strongly recommend the chicken tikka masala and garlic cheese naan-yummy!
I'm a hard-core South Indian by DNA and by upbringing. Ordered a South Indian Thali (meals) and found the good to be worst I've ever had. Worst is an understatement. Along with foods wasted were fish fry, fish cutlet, squid gravy, fish gravy. I went...to complain to the cashier about the food and her defense was the chef is from Karaokudi. Never in my life have I seen anyone insult Karaokudi cooks like this. Do not recommend rating - STRONGMore
Went for lunch at appollo banana leaf at Rivervale mall. Ordered their signature masala chicken(very generous with portioning) and chilli prawn. Even though curry served, I can’t stop eating rice with the masala which came with chicken. Chilli prawn is top notch. Well cooked and...tender. Not the chewy kinda prawn. Restaurant Incharge Mr. Prem keep checking on our beverage and other topup’s. Overall good experience.More
Outstanding food and excellent service, particularly from Karthik. He saw the confused looks on a bunch of tourists faces, and offered to take the lead on our ordering. He did not disappoint.
On 13th Feb 2023, I visited Apolo Banana leaf at Race Course Rd restaurant. We ordered big fish head curry, mutton, fish cutlet, prawns, and chicken masala. Definitely, fish head was not fresh, fish cutlet was disaster, chicken was not fresh and flooded with masala.
