We ordered for Briyani and other veg/non veg items for 4 pax take away, their portion is huge almost 6-7 pax could have eaten the meal. I love their masala chicken it spicy and well cooked. Could eat that all day long, I must say that there was no tinge of MSG in their food. I also tried their fish... More

Eating from a banana leaf is something special for a European traveller. I pretty much liked the place and luckily one can get fork and knife if you ask. The spicyness is after Indian standards, so be careful.

Apolo was a wonderful find amidst little India. Wonderful food, impeccable facilities and utterly professional and friendly service. Ravi was particularly accomodating and kind. A must for a Singaporean-Indian food experience!

We went to the Indian quarter with friends recently on a trip to Singapore. This restaurant was recommended to us, its large, and noisy with lots of Indian families out for dinner and celebrating birthdays etc. The food was amazing, spicy, and sometimes not quite what we thought we would be getting. A great night out, probably more traditional Indian... More

This is an established restaurant in Singapore with a couple of locations in Little India. The place was very busy with locals and some tourists. Based on a recommendation from a friend I went for the fish head curry - served with rice veggies this meal can serve two but since I was solo I ate the entire thing. Price... More

In the midst of little India in Singapore it's difficult to single out one restaurant from another. The banana leaf is different as it uses thick banana leaves instead of plates. This seems to be ecologically friendly and the word is that the food is enhanced by the natural presentation. The menu is in English but features traditional Indian meals... More

Salty mutton curry, moghul briyani like sambar rice with frozen dried mutton, chicken -65 with no taste, like rubber and not sure what oil was used to fry.. Total disappointment and the restaurant surprisingly crowded .. it's real waste of money and a food court food is better than this restaurant.

Ordered a large Sri Lanka crab, $35 on the menu. They charged $45 on the bill. The crab was not considered large for one. When asked for the overcharge refund, they said they have talked about the price and was by weight, and I agreed. I didn't agree to anything other than the price on the menu. Their explanation didn't... More

We were here for the last two days. The Restaurant seems to be crowded everytime but be sure, the waiters will find a place for you. It's loud, but the food is maybe the best you can get in Little India. It's not the cheapest but it's worth every Cent.

Staying in Little India

Neighbourhood Profile
Little India
With a strong local Indian community, this pocket of Singapore can feel like another place and time. Wander past traditional barbershops while local residents in brightly coloured saris patronize retailers from decades past. Peruse streets lined with colourful shops as the aroma of curry tempts you to indulge. Listen to the Bollywood music echoing from storefronts and take in the stalls selling bright flowers, fabrics, and spices. At the 24-hour, four-level Mustafa Shopping Centre, you can shop through the night and find everything from pharmacy and grocery items to Bollywood DVDs and diamond necklaces. Singapore’s Little India offers a colourful, lively taste of the subcontinent and is well worth the visit.
