Had been for breakfast so decided to drop in for dinner. The set up is very nice and interior decor is good and not too noisy. Parking outside is a big plus. They have gone for the government subsidised productivity whacky ordering tablets which are tacky and don't actually help at all. So if course the waiter did the order... More

Situated in a serene little setting this establishment is certainly a popular choice over the weekend period. The bill of fare is expansive yet conforming and our dishes were well prepared and most appetising!

Mostly patronized by expats, the restaurant can get very crowded especially on a weekend. Line up early as there a "no reservation" policy. The inside interiors is very classy - sofas and throw pillows and way cooler especially on a humid day. Outside tables have fan and leads to a green field where one can play football or kids can... A bunch of us had lunch at cafe Melba the other day. Between us we ordered some pasta, salads, pizza, duck confit and lamb vindaloo. Everything was fantastic and came to us pretty quickly. Highly recommend cafe Melba

We read some of the negative reviews about this place but we were very happy with our experience here. The guy on the door did a good job welcoming us in and finding us a table, and showing us how to work the ipad menu (for us, the 80s never ended...😎) Ordered the roast vegetable side and the porcini mushroom... Service was OK and food reasonable. Salads are a good choice. Room for kids to run around but the restaurant is reported to be exceptionally busy at weekends and booking is not permitted. It is quite expensive for basic food but then to a non-resident everything here appears pricey!

food used to be better as well as the service; too expensive for what you get and there are better places to entertain your children ( see nearby La Barca ) Have to admit that the margarita in the pitcher was excellent though

The labor shortage is impacting the quality of service at most of the F&B outlets in Singapore and Melba is not spared either. It is one of the very few brunch places for the Meyer Road / Katong neighbourhood so we have not many choices but to put up with the slow service and premium price ...

We caught up with some friends for a weekend brunch here. Sat outside where there was a nice breeze. Brunch menu is not bad, but service is poor. You need to order your food and beverages yourself on a tablet which is present your table (I personally don't like this as it takes the personal touch out of dining. Also... More

Liked the random slightly secluded location, nostalgic setting and restaurant deco was nice, fun bouncy house and garden for kids, but those were the only positives. Food was overpriced for the quality and taste. Portion size was decent. We had the mozzarella stuffed rosti and fish & chips. Rosti was overcooked (too dark & crispy) but the poached eggs were...
