Great find! I was so in need of a western meal after being in china town for a week eating nothing but dim sum. They had bangers and mash and lemon pie! I was in heaven! Very comfortable with great service, clean modern and welcoming

Trip advisor showed the restaurant as open, but it was not. Maybe something to do with Chinese New Year celebrations? No signage on the door explaining.

Having googled 'best flat white in Singapore', we went looking for The Loft - only to find that it had been booked for a business function. We told the staff that we had come all the way from Australia for a coffee, and they made an exception (unasked) and offered to make us coffees. Good coffee, and great service!

Had one of the best (or perhaps the best) coffee in Singapore. tried the flat white - neither bitter nor diluted coffee (i.e. that tastes too milky). absolutely loved it ! was surprised coffee is roasted in Singapore because it tastes like those I've had in Australia. barista said coffee is roasted by a local roaster called DockyardCoffee. anyone knows... Chanced upon the best coffee in Singapore . On the weekend they were having cupping session. Smells really good and they even offer us to try their coffee. 👍 👍 definitely recommend friends to come by

Just had a coffee here and it's one of the best I have ever has. The waiter describes the blend of beans used and where they source them from. If you don't mind climbing up a flight of stairs it's a great place for a coffee and to sit and watch daily life in Singapore go by

I cannot review their food, as we only stopped by for a short rest and a cup of coffee after lunch. It's a pleasant place with friendly staff and the coffee was served in a test-tube, I'd seen that for the first time in my life. It was good and very strong but pricey too.

My family had a wonderful time at the Loft. It is a cozy little gem of a cafe located on Smith St. in China Town. We greatly appreciated the warmth of their service, in addition to their family friendly seating area. The children's books and toys kept my children entertained so we could enjoy our food. We will be back... More

I am not a coffee sommelier so this is not a professional guidance but I could not understand the taste of the Long Black Coffee. The banana pancakes were really nice. Must try.

Staying in Chinatown

Neighbourhood Profile
Chinatown is a classic combination of colourful sights, enticing smells, and sometimes startling sounds. The precinct is unique, however, in its blending of religions and cultures. A Hindu temple, an Islamic mosque, and a Chinese Buddhist temple sit almost side by side. This sense of cultural harmony continues as you venture just outside of Chinatown to the nightlife areas of Club Street and Duxton Hill. There you’ll mingle with Singapore’s multicultural residents at the modern bars and restaurants dotting the bustling streets. An afternoon in and around Chinatown will leave you culturally enlightened, well fed, and loaded with souvenirs. In the evening, reward yourself with a well-deserved cocktail as the locals come out to play.
