Firstly as stated it is really Chinese food. We still offered pad Thai as only read trip advisor when we had ordered. If you are thinking to go probably don't... Instead try somewhere else. If you are inside, the Chinese food is nice. The pad thai is nice but doesn't taste like normal pad thai. The sweet chili squid and... More

The Rama Thai restaurant is located at Tanjong Pagar road, Singapore. The food served did not resembled the normal Thai food at all and the prices of the dishes were quite expensive. We ordered crab, mango salad, pat Thai noodles, pineapple rice, and Tom Yang soup etc, and were very disappointed with the cooking. The soup was so sour, the... More

As per the previous review, this is a Chinese restaurant with a name indicating Thai with few dishes of that cuisine. We were a group of 6 looking for a nice meal. We were told to finish dinner in 1 hr as we had reached 20min before closing time. It was sufficient time as this place is really not the... More

We visited this restaurant because it was close to our hotel. The moment we walked in, a hostess directed us to a table and handed 3 moist freshener napkins (the kind the airline steward would hand over when you board an aircraft). While we were pondering over the menu, the same hostess placed a plate of thai veg. salad on... More

Thai food is something different. The food is chinese not thai. They have a couple of thai-sound dishes just to show they are a thai restaurant but too far from thai food. When they took my order they tried to convince me to take some other dished but I was not interested into them so they become friendless and disappointed.... More

Staying in Chinatown

Neighbourhood Profile
Chinatown is a classic combination of colourful sights, enticing smells, and sometimes startling sounds. The precinct is unique, however, in its blending of religions and cultures. A Hindu temple, an Islamic mosque, and a Chinese Buddhist temple sit almost side by side. This sense of cultural harmony continues as you venture just outside of Chinatown to the nightlife areas of Club Street and Duxton Hill. There you’ll mingle with Singapore’s multicultural residents at the modern bars and restaurants dotting the bustling streets. An afternoon in and around Chinatown will leave you culturally enlightened, well fed, and loaded with souvenirs. In the evening, reward yourself with a well-deserved cocktail as the locals come out to play.
