It was great dining experience, greatest so far! The restaurant manager, sommelier and team all all very warm, welcoming, professional. Kudos to Patrick, Brosnan, Susanna, Elijah and Joanna. Very well taken care of, very attentive, and very professional. Best dining experience so far in Singapore....Highly recommended. There was reason to why why Les Amis was rated 3 stars Michelin. Amazingly beautiful plating, with perfect wine pairings full of surprise (trust the chef and sommelier!) and top notch service. Went for Le Menu Printemps (5 courses) with Decouvette wine pairing (6 glasses). Surprised in very pleasant and memorable way!More

Every plate was creative and wonderful to the taste with seasonal produce. Of course, the staff were attentive but went above and beyond offering very innovative wines and brilliant French cheeses. First time I’ve been back in 20 years but looking forward to coming back...again much sooner. This is THE place to eat in Singapore.More

Without going into details this was an unexpected venue for our Silver Wedding Anniversary as our previous plans were changed - not by us. From the moment of walking in to being escorted to the taxi upon leaving we could find no fault whatsoever and...it is a long time since I have not had even a minor criticism of a restaurant. The food, the wine, the service, the ambience were all perfect and made what was, for us, a special night a night to remember - thank youMore

Very dissapointing. The food is correct but is it worth 3*???? No. Every meal comes with either cavior, truffles or both - which makes those products less special. Also, having a plain bread with plain butter as entree or mushed potatoes with truffles as amuse...bouche is.... word "disapointing" is too little to say. The huge advantage of this restaurant is the main waiter - very polite, cares about atmosphere and everything being perfect. Overall, I don't understand the phenomenon of this restaurant (it's 14th best all over the world, supposedly!)More

What is a Michelin Star restaurant? It’s a system meant to ensure a meal and an experience of the highest quality. The higher the rating the greater the expectation of the client and the greater the responsibility of the restaurant. At a rating of three...stars one can reasonably be assured of an exceptional experience of food, service and environment. Les Amis fails to meet these expectations in all three areas. The environment was worn. The bathroom was appalling, with a filthy toilet and no towels, paper or otherwise. I dried my hands with Kleenex. The food we were served was, in general, not worthy of one star, much less three. More than a few in our party have dined at many Michelin rated establishments so I feel we are not being unfair when we say this. There was nothing about the food either surprising or noteworthy. We were in agreement that most courses were mediocre at best, and unfortunate at worst. There’s not much more to say about that. The service was hit and miss. Upon arrival we were informed by the somellier that the wine pairing we requested was not available for our party of seven for no other reason I could understand than it would not be fair to the restaurant to have to open more then one bottle to accommodate us. It is not the job of the client to accommodate the restaurant. At $1300.00 a head and three Michelin stars, I’m not quite sure how this was an issue in the first place. The restaurant knew days in advance the number in our party and no mention was made of any problems with the wine pairing nor any accommodation for our consideration. Off to a bad start. Some on the staff were truly noteworthy and they did their very best to make our experience better. We are a vocal group and we tend to speak honestly among ourselves so I’m sure some of the staff were aware that the food was not meeting our expectations. If asked we say, “Yes, it’s all fine”. The quality of the food is not the responsibility of the server so why upset them? We go to a restaurant for the experience. We understand the tacit agreement of you pay, we provide. If we feel we did not get our monies worth we do not return. Why make a scene? Perhaps they were having a bad day. No. A Michelin three star restaurant is not allowed to have a bad day, ever. So then, a warning. If you are going to spend an extraordinary amount of money for an extraordinary experience you’d be better off dining somewhere else. It’s not being served at Les Amis.More

We come here once a year for 10 years when we’re in town. Each time it was very good They have changed the menu and the a la carte is no more. Now 2 set menu choices I had the cold angel hair (excellent), egg,...langoustine and blackmore wagyu tenderlion (excellent). Overall very good but too many dishes had just caviar, which becomes predictable and reason to charge more Good service 9/10More

Yes it was one of the "original" fine dining places in SG with a stellar reputation, but judging from my recent experience it is now a sad shadow of whatever its former glories were. Arrived, got a polite but somewhat standard/perfunctory welcome from the maitre...d (who never interacted with us again for the whole evening). Servers were Ok but you could tell they were reciting a memorised script of a standard meet and greet. They were pleasant enough but not polished (eg neglecting to refill my water throughout, wrong utensil settings for the next course, etc). The young chap who was dressed as the sommelier did not offer me the wine list, even after I made eye contact with him whilst waiting for the course to start. I thought maybe he would come after the amuse bouche, but still no. My first proper course arrived and still no wine. I asked my waiter for the wine list. She got it (surely the sommelier should have stepped in at this point). I ordered a glass. She had no idea...rummaged around the wine fridge, couldn't sort it out. Went to ask for help. The "sommelier" finally got involved, found the bottle but it was empty or something, took ages to find another bottle and prep it. Finally came over, poured it, but no comment (let alone a polite "sorry") at all for the delay. After this debacle one would expect some better service - nope, no one came again to offer me a red for my meat course let alone dessert wines. As to the food, the menu choices were very standard (which is fine, if done well). However, many of the appetizers (both cold and warm ) were served with big dollops of caviar which to me is just a lazy way to mask the inherently unimaginative and boring cooking. The underlying ingredients themselves tasted bland, the sauces one dimensional. Same with the main courses - bland, boring, standard fare one could get in any big hotel formal restaurant. The Les Amis team might want to go to Zen or Odette (to name a few) and see how true fine dining should be done nowadays.More

An absolutely impeccable, dining experience! The service, the wine list, the cocktails reflect the best standard of hospitality. The four course meal that we had embodied the pinnacle of perfection. Rarely am I taken by a Michelin three star restaurant here I was. The meal...also included several additional bites. Each one was divine! I work in the food and beverage space and all I can say is you should visit this restaurant. Bravo!More

Some good dishes, particularly the soup and duck breast. Other dishes were just OK. Valet not there when we drove up and vanished by the time we finished. We’d left our cashcard at home and had to walk around Scott’s Rd getting a new one...when a full service restaurant would have perhaps facilitated the parking coupon. Odd location with people walking by the main door and looking in, traffic noise. Have eaten at Joel Robuchon and other restaurants here and overseas and found the service is warmer, more polite and welcoming elsewhere. There is better food available for less and minus the attitude.More

Many thanks to Leonel Patrick Esteves, "Premier Maitre D'Hotel" at this amazing location which transports you from the luxury shopping district in Singapore directly to France. Every item is perfect, every service is provided. I ordered the 3 course lunch, which is of course more...like 5 courses...ingredients from France exquisitely explained and delivered. Though you shouldn't drive home after, the wine pairing was absolutely inspirational and many thanks to the master Sommelier, Herve Pennequin for that. Very thankful I chose this experience.More

As mentioned in the review for Zen Restaurant, we prefer the more contemporary restaurant that the World’s 50 Best tend to favour rather than the more traditional that Michelin like. Les Amis is certainly more traditional, but there was a lot to like. It’s also...quite apparent from the website and reviews that this is the experience you’ll get, so we went in eyes wide open. Think pressed to within an inch of their life white tablecloths, hushed atmosphere, tables very spaced. Everything quite formal. With that said we think the best part of the night was the service. All very lovely and quite fun. Cultivated, but with a twinkle in the eye. Serious, but not taking themselves seriously. It was fun. We did the truffle degustation, which was good but indulged a pet gate of hours namely that the truffle is more an afterthought. Same dishes as rest of the menu, but with truffle shaved onto them rather than incorporate it more into the dish. Quite a show made over the bread, cheese course, and ice cream! All very good and enjoyable piece of theatre. Looked after right till the end with one of the members of service coming out and waiting with us for the taxi. Lots to like, just not quite what we’re looking for in a fine diner but plenty of others will love.More
