Little India is normally cheap place and also cheap foods. Anjappar is already a branch with different some restaurants in Singapore. The foods is good but not amazing if you compare to other places with the pricy. Anyway the nan bread was amazing taste.

Tried prawns and fish. They didn't seem fresh and we had an upset tummy next day. Better to check with them before ordering.

Stay away from this poison place. The owners are famous for cheating customers. Terrible service, cold serving and there was a massive hair in the rice and some strange thing (could be insect). I vomited going back to the hotel and took me three days to recover. A complaint has been made to the hygiene department. It should be closed... More

I has dinner once with my wife. We ordered few Indian dishes like Daal Tadka, Mix Veg, Tomato Soup, etc. The food was tasty but didn't like the ambiance much. Also, I felt that restaurant is unhygienic. It's not value for money.

Having come to Little India for what I hoped would be a good Indian meal I was disappointed. I had ordered chicken mulligatawny soup and got vegetable and very uninspiring it was. The mutton masala was tasteless and the mutton was fatty and probably had been reheated several times. I had ordered plain rice and got basmathi. $4 for a... More

Food poisoning, terrible hygiene, rude, delayed service. Food was overcooked, perhaps from left overs being re-heated. Had two days of food poisoning

Enjoyable dinner on a Friday evening. Ate good South Indian food here along with my first kottu paratha (hope my spelling is acceptable). Washed down with a jug of beer. Great stuff.

This is one of the famous chettinad restaurant in Tamil Nadu (South India). We had lot expectations when visited this restaurant in Singapore but got little disappointed. Biriyanis were not good and tiffin items were ok... We were not able to chew the mutton which were very hard. Overall the experience was not pleasant.

Staying in Little India

Neighbourhood Profile
Little India
With a strong local Indian community, this pocket of Singapore can feel like another place and time. Wander past traditional barbershops while local residents in brightly coloured saris patronize retailers from decades past. Peruse streets lined with colourful shops as the aroma of curry tempts you to indulge. Listen to the Bollywood music echoing from storefronts and take in the stalls selling bright flowers, fabrics, and spices. At the 24-hour, four-level Mustafa Shopping Centre, you can shop through the night and find everything from pharmacy and grocery items to Bollywood DVDs and diamond necklaces. Singapore’s Little India offers a colourful, lively taste of the subcontinent and is well worth the visit.
