Delicious beachfront eaterie

Right on the beachfront, this restaurant has great views and great food to match. We had the Mayas’ Chicken Inasal and the Yellow Fin Tuna sandwich. The chicken was slightly too salty for my taste, but it was still very good. It came with a delicious papaya salad and two ramekins of sauces, one fish sauce and the other soy sauce. The tuna sandwich was delicious.

Great Filipino dishes and amazing view.

Excellent Filipino food and great service. The garlic pork adobo is fork tendon and flavorful without being salty, and the bagoong rice is well flavored with dry shrimps rather than shrimp paste. Knocked off one star as only 30-35% of their menu was available and it was only 1PM.

2nd Birthday at Mayas

We celebrated our son's second birthday at Mayas Boracay. I booked it ahead of time, and they set up our table very nicely and framed our son's picture so cutely. I also asked ahead of time if I could order a custom cake for my son, and they accommodated my request. We chose two sets of boodle fights: "Maskara Festival" and "Sinulog Festival." My family enjoys the food and the famous fruitshake. The entire staff is friendly and polite. We also had breakfast at Mayas for 5 days because we were staying at Jony's. We tried all of their breakfast set, and they are all delicious, especially the overnight oats, which must be ordered ahead of time. For merienda, we tried the pigout burger and cheese quesadillas. It’s so nice and yummy. Aside from delicious food, Mayas is located right on the beach, so you'll have a great view while you eat.

I just had to write this review real time given that I had a lot of time to wait for the food. I got a lot of feedback from the people that the food was great and also the shake. Unfortunately, I tried ordering burritos, oysters etc but most were unavailable on a Friday. We ordered the food around 12:50 and the food came around 1:35pm. At last the food came but to my frustration, they served me my Chicken Inasal raw. I was not expecting this since I had to wait 40 minutes for it. To be fair. The shake was awesome. The calamares we ordered was cooked well and tender. Long story short, I just asked them to cook the chicken again which made it dry. Fortunately it only took then 5 minutes. I still saw a few parts of the chicken raw but I did not want to have it recooked a third time.

Worse service ever

We went to this restaurant on January first with a bunch of friends, some of our food took almost 1 hour to arrive, some of the food we were told that it was not available after 40 minutes waiting in the meantime the table next to us was being served bail in mind that they arrived 20 minutes later. My friend order a steak 🥩 it arrived 50 later already cold, my chicken was extremely salty, some of us never got their food and it only arrived an hour and a half later when we were leaving. I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone, all these reviews are just fake

We came here especially because it had fish and veggie options on the menu. When we arrived, we were told that nothing I could eat was available apart from the squid ink adobo. Although it wouldn't be my first choice, I ordered this and my husband ordered chicken tacos (after being told his first choice, chicken inasal, wasn't available). Minutes later, the waitress came back saying the chicken tacos weren't actually available, so we left. No Mexican food and not much Filipino food is actually on offer here and service is slow - the whole experience cost us 45 minutes. Do yourself a favour and go elsewhere.

Takes 40 minutes for food to be served. On top of that, some food still missing. Sizzling sisig was not “sizzling” Most of the food on the menu was not available Price was unreasonable Pay 600 pesos for a 2 taco that tastes like it costs 75/each. Absurd. Avoid this restaurant at all costs.

I think this is a trivia not just to us but to those who loves the Pigout and Jony's as well. We were surprised to know that all these 3 fav resto are in just one umbrella. Pig out and Mayas is on our list of resto to visit to. When we got there the waiter gave us the menu list of all the food offered by 3 resto. Most of the food we expect to order are not available due to low demand and less supply. We end up ordering lechon kawali rice & fresh fruit shakes, needles to say we enjoyed the our lunch even though I am craving for the staple food of Mayas. No wonder why celebrities love hanging around there too.

Having lived in Mexico for years, I can attest to the authenticity of the flavours. Of course, there’s a different take and Filipino twist to the dishes in order to cater to the local palate, as well as to tourist from all over the world. But I can genuinely say that they did not compromise on the integrity of the Mexican flavours. Prices are reasonable or perhaps comparable to most North American cities; more expensive than Mexico. Take note though that the serving portions are ginormous so for the price, you’re getting a lot. For the taste, you’re getting your money’s worth. So do come with an empty stomach.

Lovely Little Place with Great Food

We saw the place from the beach and liked the ambience, so wandered up, and as it was our first night, decided on the Filipino side of the menu rather than the Mexican. We ordered the sampler and shared a Bangus Sisig fish with rice for a light but delicious meal. Would definitely recommend!

Amizing to find such flavorful, rather authentic Mexican food in Boracay. The menu is covers many different Mexican specialties (even though only 2 of the 5 ceviches were available) and their tortillas could be proudly served in many Mexico eateries. As for the cocktails, their El Chapo Margarita (a spicy one) was just..memorable. Congeatulations: one of the best restaurants/bars along the beach

A wonderful meal in a fantastic restaurant. I love Mexican food, and this is probably the best Mexican meal I have ever had. Yummy nachos, crunchy quesadillas, chimmichangas worth bludgeoning someone to death for. Yep folks, it's proper Mexican, not some hybrid cuisine. Great service and ambiance, too. I am glad the Filipino chef plans one day to go to Mexico: he can teach them how to cook their own food even better! You can tell that this place deeply cares about its food. So. Perfect. And - I'm hard to please. You still here reading this? Just go now!

Great food and fantastic staff! We ate breakfast here every day and Tony even reserved a table for us looking over the beach. If you're not looking for food, they even offer some of the best cocktails and smoothies on the island. Mayas is definitely one of the best restaurants on the island.

Stayed at Jony’s Hotel and had breakfast every morning here and you are met with a great view a wonderful variety of dishes. Which expand throughout the day. Tony and Brix and the rest of the staff are attentive providing great service, knowledge and support. I can highly recommend this Resturant wether you are staying at the hotel or walking the beach and want to stop in.

Not waht you expect from a Mexican restaurant

2 stars at most. The good: Margaritas were excellent as well as the upstairs dining area which was cool with great views of the sunset. The :bad: Despite listing these items on their website menu they had .no burritos nor quesadillas. Also, the tacos were porky tasting and the asado was tough. You had to pay for chips and salsa which is normally free at most Mexican restaurants in Europe and USA
