Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.

Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Very pleasant, atmospheric place. The food is varied and delicious. The freshest seafood and most delicious crocodile. The food was suitable for both adults and a 4-year-old child. Everyone was satisfied. Prices are very affordable. Full dinner for 3 adults and 1 child, with fresh juices and beers cost 1800 Local pesos

The restaurant has both outside and inside tables. Popular for big dinner groups, but alsi works well for eating alone. Recommend the Red Thai Chicken curry. The chef salad is nothing special but a good sized dish, may be enough for the light eaters. Restaurant also has veggie options, and for the adventurous has some crocodile dishes offered. Service can be slow, you may have to grab a waiter in order to get the final bill. All in all a good place to ear if you are not in a rush.

We visited Kinabuch twice on our visit. The first time we had Laing and Lechon Kawali and then went back on our last night as the Lechon had been so good and we wanted it again before we left. That time we also had Kaldereta. All the food was absolutely fantastic, but we did have much better service on our first visit than our second (which is why we could only give it 4 stars not 5). On our second visit we ended up waiting almost an hour for the bill then for them to come and take payment and then to get our change. The first time however we had a wonderful waitress who didn't mind me trying out some of my tagalog either! I also have a nut allergy and they were great both times about this and I felt very confident eating there. Would definitely go back, it just seems luck of the draw about which server you get.

Visited a day after New Years ,80% of the menu wasn’t unavailable so we left. Gave it another chance a few days later and was very disappointed. Chicken was undercooked and I could count the French fries I was served (12!) , pathetic for the money. Wouldn’t recommend.

Went for some Palaweno (microbrewery) craft beer to accompany a meal. Despite having the product on the menu, they had no stock. The food ordered (seafood Sisig & Spinich stirfy) was terrible. The venue may be popular with those seeking the huge outdoor television screen and local (tasteless) beer, but that would be about it!

This is an open-air restaurant with a large parking space centrally located in downtown Puerto Princesa. I was excited to try this restaurant since it has been recommended by our tour guide and by some locals, however the following events caused my bubble to burst: 1. We got seated at around 19:10 in the evening and spent about 15 minutes trying to get the attention of the waiters around us who seemed to master the trick of not making eye contact, or just signaling us to wait but never returning to our table. Yes it was a busy night, yes they were flustered and we would have understood if they treated everyone fairly. What got me more frustrated was when a pair of foreign tourists who just got seated right NEXT to our table were immediately attended to and yet no one has still dropped by our table. 2. We were finally able to order at around 19:30 and we had to wait for another 45 minutes for the food to arrive. Billing out also took another 15 minutes and we were shortchanged by 20 PHP (0.40 USD), yes it is a small amount and it could have been our tip, but they ought to inform their customers before placing any additional charges on their bills. Few other points of our visit: 1. Food is okay and reasonably priced, I don't think I've seen anything on their menu that costs more than 500 PHP (10 USD) 2. The only personnel who paid any attention to us was the lady in glasses (sorry I was not able to get her name). Her service and kindness was very much appreciated.

All hype. Puerto Princesa needs an UPDATED list of restos especially for people like us who travel for food. and would just rely on online reviews. ▪️Garlic rice platter was sticky. ▪️Grilled fish still has scales. ▪️Crocodile sisig was burnt at the bottom. We paid 400php and expected a lot, only to be served with half burnt food. List goes on. No photos of food as it was not even appetising. Go here if you would like to have some beers. We orderd tequila shots and were surpised that they served us with a lot of lemon. For the first time the whole night we were there, we felt that we got our money's worth. Not joking - giving 2 stars instead of 1 because of the shots, but definitely not coming back, not recommended. Tourist trap.

We ate here on our first night in Palawan, we found much better places to eat during our holiday. View from table was a large car park and a giant screen showing german football. We had spring rolls, sizzling prawns, red chicken curry. Wasn’t terrible, but just not very good, hence average rating.

We had the crispy pata, garlic mushrooms, chicken curry, fried tofu, tuna sizzler, rice and leche flan. The food was excellent and the atmosphere lovely. Would definitely recommend this place!

Second time I had a bad experience in Kinabuch, so give a comment now. The waiters don’t pay any attention to the guests, lots of people waving all around. Nobody welcomes you or assists you to the table. We found a very central table, but still got ignored for 15 minutes. Also no menu at the table, so total waste of time. We decided to leave and went to Kalui Restaurant, opposite the road instead. What a difference in service that was. Good decision. Similar experience my last visit and our sizzling seafood dishes were quiet small and mine overcooked also. Empty glasses are always ignored. Would have ordered more drinks, if a waiter would have been around more often. ‘Not available’ also happens more often. Conclusion: Nice outdoor ambience, enough parking space. Overrated, food just average and very poor service. Waiters stressed and confused and long waiting time due to that.

Kinabuch is a bar and restaurant where you can sit inside or outside in a comfortable setting. The staff are friendly, fast and efficient and the food is good. Try the gising gising if you like spicy food....I almost always order it.

One of the go-to food gems in Puerto Princesa, they serve the food fast, hot, and fresh, and the drinks, cold and refreshing. Sadly no croc sisig at the time, but still you will enjoy the other itmes on the menu. Highly recommended.

Went here after the great reviews and although it was nice the menu was a bit repetitive. I have the chop sui, which was a mix of veg and tiny amount of pork with a strong sesame flavour. The ribs were very good and the mix seafood of tuna, prawn and squid just ok I was on my own so ordered too much but would be better in a group to share I feel.

The setting is exceptional, with a magnificent view of the mangroves. On the other hand, the food is completely ordinary, tasteless, without internet and served nonchalantly by staff who are obviously not happy to work there. Really too disappointing.
