Came here with a group of 14 people. Quite a lot for any kitchen to manage but this restaurant took it in their stride. Staff were friendly and efficient. Everybody had different dishes and nobody complained about any. And we are a bunch of old...fussy EuropeansMore
I visited last night and really enjoyed the whole experience. The location is excellent overlooking the shoreline. The menu is quite extensive. The quality and presentation of the food was first class. And the staff are clearly well trained as the service was spot on.
Excellent food served on the top floor balcony affording a lovely view over the bay.
On initially viewing the menu we thought the dishes were a bit pricey, but when you consider the quality of the steaks it is in fact very reasonable.
We chose...the daily set menus which were very good value (again considering the quality of the produce) and we were very satisfied with our meals as well as the choice of wines on offer and the overall service and ambience.
The steak was cooked perfectly. I would say the best steak I've had in Philippines for a very long time. Well done chef.
So, if you want something more than the standard local foods do try Papa Fred's, you'll get quality international food cooked to perfection.

Had a lovely time in the late afternoon having beer and wine. Then the dinner crowd arrived, wouldn't be a problem until they started smoking.
Told by staff this was OK, despite no signage saying so. So upstairs is the non-smoking area! Who would know...without signage.
The owner tried to lecture me upon which I ask why he doesn't comply with Philippines law.
The salmon steak was dry and over cooked

The staff are so helpful and accommodating. We checked the restaurant beforehand after we checked in the hotel room also owned by the same people. They are kind enough to let us reserve a table for 6 people.
The price for the meal is almost...like in Manila. I am not sure why. It is a little bit pricey for me honestly. But since this is our first meal in Sabang we just go with the flow. The family enjoyed it. They have big serving which is good because we have 3 guys in the family. The caldereta i ordered, is sorta okay. It doesn't taste like caldereta honesty. Out of the food that was ordered in the table, i tried them all. I like the bistek better.
We enjoyed the breeze coming from the beach. And during our dining experience the lights went out and thankfully they have generators. We occupied the top floors which is better so theres less crowd and theres a bell to ask for assistance. For a family of six and a child we paid 3,500 pesos.More
