Jogja's finest traditional food is Gudeg. And there are literally thousands of Gudeg Place here. In the sea of Gudeg, one gudeg place stand out as the TripAdvisor recommendations. Gudeg Sagan can be described as wet gudeg. In my opinion wet gudeg are the best kind of gudeg because the flavour are richer. And Gudeg Sagan fulfilled my desire of... More

This is probably my no 1 gudeg restaurant. The chicken meat is tender, juicy and tasty. The gudeg sagan is a gravy kind of gudeg which is perfectly cooked and the sweetness of the meat and gudeg are balance off with the spicy krecek! The place is nice and clean and its cheap!!! Definitely my most favourite gudeg in Jogja!!!

A gudeg restaurant that always full with youngers. Its atmosphere is nice as the gudeg taste. Price is oke, hygiene of the food is fair, but the place cleanliness is under standard.

This is a place to go to if we want to try authentic traditional Yogyakarta food, GUDEG. Gudeg is young jackfruit cooked in traditional way, serve with tempe (soyabean cake), opor ayam (white curry chicken), eggs and krecek (beef skin crackers). The place is big, spacious, airy and very clean. The gudeg really delicious because it's not too sweet. Definitely... More

In my list of many places to eat traditional Javanese food in Yogyakarta, Gudeg Sagan is certainly one of the must-visit eatery. Located nicely south of the famous UGM campus, east of legendary hospital Panti Rapih, and north of popular shopping district Jalan Solo and Galeria Matahari, it earns the geographic benefit of being easily accessible from different directions. For... More
