There is many Yu Djum Gudeg joints, the ever tastiest Gudeg in Jogja in my opinion. However there is joints owned by Yu Djum (God rest her sweet great Gudegsmith ability) and those owned by her son/daughter. If you want to taste the absolute best, go for the one stated 'Cabang Pusat' means it's owned by 'Yu Djum'. Now it... More

This dish is jogja's signature dish and this place did justice to that. We liked what we ate. However I don't have a benchmark since I did not gudeg anywhere else. The place is closed on sundays and we realized it only when we got there and then went back again on Monday.

This review was late overdue. First, my deepest condolences for the departing Yu Djum. May you rest in peace. If you want to try the best dry gudeg, come visit yu djum outlets. The gudeg itself tastes really good. You could feel the best ingredients used inside of it. For me, it will be the brown sugar and the coconut... More

Gudeg as one of the very famous dish in Yogya, has been served very authentically by Yu Djum. A special sauce called "areh" are the best part. However the "krecek" is too spicy.

If I come to Yogya, my family always ask for Gudeg Yu Djum, one of the most authentic food in Yogya, some say its too sweet, but it should taste like that, krecek with gudeg, egg and chicken...yummy..

The services is terrible. I know we came at hectic hours, but thats not an excuse to serve your customers not friendly.

I'm not sure if the real-authentic gudeg in Yogyakarta are cooked very sweet, or this is only how Gudeg Yu Djum cook this food. The gudeg in here was nice, I ate it anyway. But I prefer another gudeg next time. Too sweet for me.

If you are looking for the authentic gudeg for your family and friends who are not familiar with the sweet taste of gudeg, then gudeg yu djum is the safest choice. The price is reasonable and I think gudeg yu Djum is the most well known gudeg from Yogyakarta. The best thing about gudeg yu Djum is that it is... More
