Madam Suharti i am bowing in front of you, after all these times your ayam goreng remain faithful to the original recipe. It is still as good as the old time and feeling a lil bit nostalgic. The ingredients goes all the way till the chicken bones, kremes is delightful and sambal is very tasty. What can i say, the... More

Fried chicken was nice. But everything else wasnt that great. Ordered the tempe, which came out quite sweet. Curry veg came out cold. Every dish was cold, even the rice. We ordered a 2nd half chicken, and that was way too oily and not as crispy as the first. So, I'm really wondering what the fuss is about with this... More

If you love traditional food, this is the place that you should try. The food is simple but the taste is just right. The restaurant is quite big and have a quite big parking lot.

This restaurant is highly popular with Indonesians. You often see them pick up take-out (take-away) from Nyonya Suharti's and bring it on the plane from Yogya to bring to friends, family and colleagues in Jakarta eager for a taste of "authentic Nyonya Suharti"'s". As one other reviewer noted, it is real "comfort food" bringing back memories of being students in... More

I don't think you can find a better fried chicken better than this place. The taste is just right! It reminded me of home. Always stop by every time we visit Yogya. Other food selections are pretty good but the chicken comes first. The place itself need an extra TLC , it can be intimidating if you are Westerner. We... More

I don't eat fried foods of any kind, but this fried chicken is a local comfort delicacy so I tried it. I have to say that it was so light and soft it melts in your mouth. It's not a luxurious or fancy spot but it's what locals eat-and it is just delicious.

The chicken was extraordinary crispy, you can even chew and swallow most of the bones. The taste was rich of unique Indonesia spices, and also I love the "sambal" (spicy sauce) the most!! The sambal tastes both sweet and a little bit hot, but not too much, even foreigners' tounge would definitely love it! Anyways, this (Yogyakarta region) is the... More

We had 2 fried chicken, gado gado, kangkung and a fried rice for 4 people. Yummy! Expect to wait for abt 20-30min though. Busy place. Many came in to order takeaway.
