It's located in the "Old Jakarta". You cannot imagine that you can find this restaurant in the area where it is located. It's really nice to have lunch, only a drink or a coffee. It's quite expensive, but the atmosphere is great. You can order local food or some international dishes. The meat is great!!!

Having visited Jakarta several times over the past 8 years the traveller now find "serious improvements" in central and historic areas!! Traffic issues are clearly reducing and "old Jakarta" is much more diverse and pleasant. Cafe Batavia is a wonderful place to "rest/relax in style" and replenish one's depleted fluids & Calories. The menu features many delightful meals and drinks...... More

The coffee selection was not as amazing as what my colleague was hoping, but the atmosphere was superb. Very nice place to take European guests, especially Dutch.

Ultra expensive cafe. Just for a drink in order to visit one of the highlights in Jakarta. The cafe is nice although the ground floorqqqq is a quite dark. Better the first floor.

go for the experience of sitting in a colonial club, overlooking a quaint square with colourful bicycles dotted with interesting museums. A little piece of Holland in Jakarta. A must tick off for everyone who visits Jakarta.

I had a wonderful rendang here after walking around in the sweltering heat all day. The restaurant is great, situated in an old Dutch building. The food was tasty, the staff were friendly, and the bathroom was clean. Would return next time I am in Jakarta.,
