A colleague took us to this restaurant, which they had been to before. The decor is fantastic, with lots of Indonesian art, water features and a genuine local feel to the place. The menu is very extensive and choosing is a challenge. The food was wonderful and the service very attentive. The restaurant also has an extensive international wine list... More

Rated as one of the best authentic Indonesian restaurant in Jakarta but be prepared. First impressions as you walk in is delightful - it's a jumble of rooms in a maze with a very 'touristy' flavour of authenticism. Antiques and painted walls and art everywhere, waiters in traditional garb. An extensive and interesting menu. All the other patrons were tourists... More

Yes is where high end tourists go but it is amazing- both the setting and the variety of the dishes on offer. The prawns on lemongrass skewers and the beef rendang are stand out dishes. The prices are so cheap compared to Jakarta's hotels so I don't know what the other reviewers are comparing with. The lemongrass alone on the... More

We had a lovely evening here, and highly recommend it! The food is authentic and full of flavours. The building has so much historical atmosphere. And it wasn't too expensive - 600rb for 2 with drinks

I went here for the first time with my foreign friend and we are astonished with this restaurant. The interior and the ambiance is awesome. We ordered about 9 dished and 8 out of 9 is really good. The other dish is just average. All dish is very tasty, nicely presented, well portioned and on top of that, the price... More

This Indonesian restaurant is pretty popular with foreigners and tourist. Their food is pretty nice but not authentic Indonesian food - so if you are expecting it then you'll be disappointed. Pricing is considered high for the quality of the food served, interior decoration is unique with a few useful information about history of Loro Djonggrang. If you don't mind... More

What a beautiful restaurant in a quiet neighbourhood of Jakarta. The decor and ambience of this wonderful place just transports you to a different world. The place is structured like a gorgeous antique villa with multiple rooms housing the dining tables. The food is decent but depends on your taste for typical Indonesian fare. But regardless, the resto is worth... More

This restaurant is known for its exquisite decor and claims to offer royal Indonesian cuisine. Well indeed, the place looks great, if rather formal, but the food wasn't really much better than what you can get across the city, for rather elevated prices! Go there if you have money to burn, but we were rather disappointed. The shrimpballs (for the... More
