Visited this restaurant on recommendation from TripAdvisor (thank you!). The restaurant serves around 60 customers at once, and is officially open 8am-8pm, though they greeted us warmly when we arrived at 8:20pm and happily served us dinner. We shared several dishes, including the chicken and meat Bobi. I then tried the yak burger, which was interesting because it really brought... More

This is a fantastic place to chill very small and cosy with a pet dog and cat. The yak burger is very small but delicious and the fries are so good - you might be craving something like this after days of local food !

This restaurant caters primarily to tour groups. I was the only non-group "single" in the place when I went to dinner. It was the first restaurant I went to in Lhasa and I really enjoyed the food. However, the group service took away the personal touch I came to like in other Lhasa restaurants.

We had lunch at Tashi 1 after a geat visit to Jokhang and Barkhor Street. It is cozy little place with delicious local food, especially the Tibetean pita bread with vegetables, fried noodles and of course their in-house brewed barley wine. The fried momos were also delicious. Longing to go there again.

We were a larger group and the waitress was very helpful. The bobies are excellent (the house specialty) Must try!

I first ate at Tashi 1 in 1985. Tashi was always very kind and helpful to travelers. She made made good food and gave valuable advice to traveler. It was always the place to eat, with great food while meeting other travelers. Tashi was a very dear friend.

We ate here 3 times in 4 days. It's amazing! I highly recommend the yak burger with egg, the vegetable Bobi with a banana lassi and a Tibetan Chang (barley beer).

Had a very nice lunch there! It's a small local place on the first floor of the building - and it has an English menu. Simple interior, nice staff, quick service and very good and fresh food. I can highly recommend the Bobis and the Momos (try the steamed ones, even if they want to talk you into the fried... More
