Quite expensive but very tasty food. You can expect this dining in the Times Square plaza however! Personally I would not return. We had Mandarin fish which was a very large serving and quite tasty. As other reviewers mentioned, the chilli chicken is tasty but there is a lot of bone. Excellent Sichuan pepper flavour.

Food was eatable but nothing was outstanding. They were all lacking spices or flavor in general. The chicken in stone pot was soaking in oil it was stomach churning. Service was non-existence. It was slow and constantly being ignored, threw plates around, not refilling the tea pot, hard to get attention and we were given our bill without asking for... More

No one at the front counter of the restaurant and the servers inside ignore you. I waited for a whole 3 minutes before 1 of them casually beckoned me in. I was thinking of turning around and walking off but decided to still try the food The dishes in general are expensive , so not really value for money I... More

I love spicy food. Ordered the diced chicken and it gives you the tingling sensation in your mouth that's really cool. Love it!

We had 8 different courses at Yun Yan. Overall, we were impressed by the finely tuned tastes and the quality of the cooking, but I had expected a few of the courses to be much hotter, so maybe it a reinterpretation with more subtle tastes? The location at Times Square is accessible but not the best. Service was uneven, depending... More

The Hot & Sour soup is outstanding which is reason enough to go for a meal however they have a fantastic array of choices on the menu not all of which will blow your head off with chilli pleasure. Try the 8 Treasure tea, marvellous stuff and helps to ease the chilli burn. A great restaurant with excellent service and... More

Of course you have to like spicy hot food if you choose to go to a Sichuan restaurant. Yun Yan gets the job done--flavor explosions in your mouth and head sweats. We had hot and sour soup with crabmeat and it was the best hot and sour soup I've had in a long time. The mandarin fish was very good,... More
