It is always difficult to order on the menu with around 300 choices especially if you are not completely familiar with the ethnic chinese cuisine. Now we failed and received countless dishes that more seem to be of interest to the texture than taste. Several of the dishes offered the starch watery sauces. No sadness of it, the staff is... Unforgettable culinary experience in this friendly family-owned restaurant! Highly recommend xiao long bao, dandan noodles, dumpling with spicy sauce, spicy garlic chicken, braised chicken noodle soup...etc.

Very friendly reception at this simple, traditional restaurant with a great selection of Cantonese food. Jasmine tea never runs out. Mix of local and foreign customers, good authentic food at reasonable prices. You won't be disappointed.

really good dumplings, served steamed on cabbage leaves, with good vinegar and ginger julienne. A good, relatively cheap place for lunch.

Returned to this gem of a place again as it was great on my 2012 and 2014 visits to Hong Kong. Good, cheap but very authentic and tasty food. Would recommend this place. Sometimes you have to share a round table with other diners who will be local, as there aren't many tourists here generally.

We were staying at the Grand Hyatt Hotel in Hong Kong and wanted to eat at a reasonably priced restaurant and the concierge Vivianna recommended this place it was better than good, fussy me loved it. The foods really special. They were lined up out the door when we got there and were still lined up when we left. If... More

This is one of the oldest Chinese restaurant in hong Kong and being run by 2nd generation. Dumplings are yummy. Somehow I misunderstood fried noodles for braised noodles so hated the deep fried crispy noodles. Don't go for any of fried noodles unless you like, go for braised noodle dishes n pork sweet n sour which is yum. Good place... More

So the client pays for accommodation in the Grand Hyatt. Nice hotel but really I could be in any city of the world and have the same air-conditioned pampered experience. Ideal antidote after a long flight was this place. Pork and crabmeat dumplings followed by crispy noodles and chicken. Light, fresh, tasty, hot Excellent. Plenty of locals and tourists. I... More

Looking out to experience local cuisine we went to this place recommended by our hotel staff and it didn't disappoint. The portions are decent and it has a lot of local crowd coming for meals. the Schezwan chicken which is like a soup was delicious and hot the way I wanted it. Will go again.

The last time I had a dining at this Resturant was 25 year ago. Today I finally could have a sense of the memory. Food is selling at affordable rate. It is not a high class Resturant but it serve with great taste.

Staying in Wan Chai / Causeway Bay

Neighbourhood Profile
Wan Chai / Causeway Bay
Wan Chai and Causeway Bay are the retail centres of Hong Kong Island. Filled with shops, malls and restaurants, both areas are bustling with people – tourists and locals alike. Causeway Bay has one of the highest rents on the planet, and is a bit more polished and modern than its Wan Chai counterpart. Beneath the surface there is more than meets the eye – find boutique stores in the above ground floors of buildings and wander into side streets to find interesting restaurants and shops tucked away from the main roads. Wan Chai especially has experienced a modern revival in recent times, with an influx of trendy restaurants and bars around the Star Street area. In addition, both areas contain many of Hong Kong’s iconic tourist attractions worthy of your visit.
