We tried the almond + lotus seeds and their recommended herbal tea+egg. Can't remember the name but it is indicated on the menu with a photo. Both were very nice . It is increasingly harder to find such traditional desserts shop in HK and i would return again. It is only open from 1 pm - 11 pm . Can... More

I wouldn't trek all the way to Western District to try this dessert shop since there are still many places (some are chains) that serve traditional Chinese desserts. However if you happened to be in Western District, do try Yuen Kee not only because they have a long glorious history (established 1855 and one of the former HK British chief... More

Mmm Red bean dessert. Beans are blended not whole, but the spicing was subtle and delightful! Only visited once but it is supposed to be a more traditional take on dessert. My wife loved her dessert but I can't remember what she ordered! It is unique to go out to dessert at a specialized restaurant, but give it a go!

It was surprisingly sweet, something I'm not very much into. It tasted a bit artificial and the cake was pretty tough as well. Only good thing was the location, and the fact that not many places sell Hor dessert till late at night.

Boiled egg is the best. I had mulberry leaf sweet soup with lotus seed. It's light and refreshing. Boiled egg is the extra everyone need to try and will love. This restaurant is clean and not so noisy.

If you want to have a date of how the old Hong Kong feels like, you should definitely try the dessert at this place. The egg chinensis herbal soup is the most famous dessert at this place. If you a not a fan of the mild herby flavour, try one of the nutty and sweet almond/walnut/sesame paste they offer here.... More

Really enjoyed the mistletoe tea with egg (2nd from right in the pic attached), it is definitely one of the must-try, since I have never seen this dish anywhere else before. I had it with the egg cake as well, which I thought, complemented it. (Abit dry by itself) I didn't really enjoy the sesame paste, as I felt that... More

This place is reknowned for traditional desserts and lotus seeds and boiled eggs are popular ingredients. We truly enjoyed the Mulberry mistletoe tea with lotus seeds and boiled egg. A delicious and healthy dessert. The taste was very good and the lotus seeds were perfectly cooked. We also had the egg sponge cake which is wholly made of eggs. We reordered... More

This is a more old school hong kong dessert shop. Such shops are getting rare these days, and as a fan of traditional cantonese dessert, I had to make a trip there. Words are all in Chinese, which makes it hard for those who can't read. But no worries. Just look around and see what others are eating, and point... More

A place for traditional Chinese desserts. The signature is herbal tea with eggs so many people order it. They also provide different kinds of pastes e.g almond paste with or without lotus seeds, seasame paste with or without lotus seeds, walnut paste with or without lotus seeds. Lotus seed is very soft and tasty, it is yummy and good for... More
