I've been to Tokyo 22 times in the past 5 years. Each time I've visited Itamae in the Ginza. Fresh, inventive, friendly..... brilliant. CLEAN ! One of my favorite restaurants in Japan. This visit, I thought I'd branch out and try the restaurant in Atago Green Hills Plaza. What a mistake !! Uber dirty, careless, and repulsive. It seems like... More

I first visited this restaurant in 2014 during my first trip to Hong Kong and made a point to return during my second trip in 2015. This is the best sushi I've had and I've had sushi in multiple countries across Asia and the rest of the world. (not yet Japan however..). The fish is extremely fresh (salmon & shrimp... More

My 1st encounter started in Singapore. Long queue because they offer daily special (eg. Jumbo Scallop and Seasonal Sashimi) at offer price. You customer can simply tick off the offer dishes and enjoy great savings. However, i find the HK chain not offering the same value. Maybe generally, food in HK cost more. To avoid queue, try go weekday shop... More

The sushi here was very good ... You use an ipad tablet to order individual pieces of sushi and the chefs will bring them to you. Their scallop sushi literally melted in my mouth. Never tasted sushi like that before!! Must try. However, I was slightly disappointed the toro sushis we ordered were uneven in size. And one of us... More

Nothing to dislike. i went in there at around 5pm local time, surprisingly for a non dinner or lunch time, the place had enough people coming in and out. well, to the point regarding the food- i tried about 10 different varieties of sushi. something amazing that one should not give a miss at all is the ox tongue sushi,... On arrival we had to take a ticket due to the popularity and waited around for about 15 mins. This is simply the price you pay for popular restaurants. We were seated at the sushi train and had tasty green tea waiting for us. Sushi tasted fresh and the salmon was a highlight. You ordered using a tablet sat in... More

Sushi was fresh, price was okay, good variety, come in early to avoid the crowd but sushi chefs come in only 1230 onwards so the sushi carousel gets populated 1230 onwards. Service for cooked ford and special order such a little longer than usual. Overall still very good

I lost count on how many times i have been to this restaurant. Because of the long queue, i either have early lunch or early dinner. I like their sushi conveyor, you can either get your sushi/sashimi straight from the from it or you can order from the menu for some of their special dishes. Each colored plate has its... More

Staying in Wan Chai / Causeway Bay

Neighbourhood Profile
Wan Chai / Causeway Bay
Wan Chai and Causeway Bay are the retail centres of Hong Kong Island. Filled with shops, malls and restaurants, both areas are bustling with people – tourists and locals alike. Causeway Bay has one of the highest rents on the planet, and is a bit more polished and modern than its Wan Chai counterpart. Beneath the surface there is more than meets the eye – find boutique stores in the above ground floors of buildings and wander into side streets to find interesting restaurants and shops tucked away from the main roads. Wan Chai especially has experienced a modern revival in recent times, with an influx of trendy restaurants and bars around the Star Street area. In addition, both areas contain many of Hong Kong’s iconic tourist attractions worthy of your visit.
