The owner allowed us to bring in our stroller, he even quickly joined a bigger table juz so we hav enuff seat for our bag and the stroller (so touched). Suddenly 1.5yr old toddler... More

I love the ingredients they used especially the liver. The down side, the porridge is abit watery. If you looking for a quick fix of Hong Kong Congee, I would say is good enough. Best of all, not Q.

This unassuming and hidden congee place in Hong Kong is worth the trip! They have best congee in town. I prefer the pork which I think is their signature congee with goes perfectly with their bread. The price is just right in the pocket and doesn't break the bank. The service, well typical for most of Hong Kong where they... More

We came here based on other TripAdvisor reviews, as my mum wanted abalone congee and we struggled to find good results from places for it in HK island. Which is a shame, because there used to be a few good places in causeway bay. The abalone congee here is delicious - the congee itself is thick and silky, with a... More

Take away 3 different types of congee and 2 different types of noodle. The congee is so smooth and the liver is so nice! And the noodles are so great too. It is just opposite Novotel Nathan road and so convenient.

Staff asked for my order in English carefully so he could get my order right. The pork meatball congee warmed both my heart and body, it tasted so good! (I was not very hungry but I needed hot food) The meatball was big and chewy, the dough sticks was really crispy despite the cold weather, to the end of the... More

We ordered 6 bowls of congee with different ingredients, 2 plates of fried dace fish balls and a plate of fried fish belly. The congee is a big bowl, served hot but slightly too watery for me. The fish belly congee was ok but would have preferred if the fish belly was not fried. The liver congee has a generous... More

Right across from the Novotel HK, this place has the best congee ever. I would describe their food as great taste, lotsa ingredients and value for money. They even have an English menu if you can't ready Chinese like me. B'fast, lunch and dinner! Liked :)

Really good congee at a old school HK eatery. Will definitely reconnect people visiting HK to come here to try.

Staying in Jordan / Yau Ma Tei

Neighbourhood Profile
Jordan / Yau Ma Tei
The Jordan and Yau Ma Tei neighbourhood is where you will find some of the more authentic areas of Hong Kong. Not as glamourous or busy as its neighbours Mong Kok to the north or Tsim Sha Tsui to the south, Yau Ma Tei is often mistakenly overlooked by visitors on their trips to Hong Kong. Exploring parts of this area makes you feel like you’ve been transported back in time. A large part of the neighbourhood draws from the rich history of Temple Street, stretching from Jordan to Yau Ma Tei, where a mix of dai pai dongs (outdoor restaurants), market stalls, fortune tellers and old karaoke bars bring out the history and culture of the area. The neighbourhood is a showcase of diversity – different ethnicities, cultures, and a mix of old and new.
