My wife and I visit Hong Kong from the UK on a regular basis to visit our daughter and family who live there. We always go to Jimmy's Kitchen Central on our final night for a special meal and It never disappoints. Great food, attentive staff, lovely atmosphere and so relaxing.

Every time when I visit Hong Kong, I will make an effort to go to Jimmy's Kitchen. Not only the place reminds me lots of good memories but the food there still maintain the same good quality.

Jimmy's Kitchen in Hong Kong is one of the longest established eateries. When you walk in you forget you are in Hong Kong and it feels like walking in to a slightly dated traditional English Gentleman's Club. The tablecloths are kept crisp as they are steam ironed whilst on the tables. Their extensive menu (all 17 pages of it) ensures... More

Remember coming here with friend 15 years ago, and after the previous night's Chinese Dinner we wanted some 'good old' English Cooking. Great location and nice local decor for consuming with Bangers & Mash. Food was OK, Calf's Liver, Steak & Kidney Pies all OK, Desserts were poor. Unfortunately time as moved on and Jimmy's has not.....it's tired!

The menu hasn't changed (has it?) for many years, like the decor, and I guess the owners must feel that people who come here pretty much know what they want, having had it for ages. Service quick, food was fine, tasty, hot, and no surprises. Shepherd's Pie was OK, although some of the meat a little tough I thought. It... More

Have started going here again recently. Nostalgic food, decidedly average and expensive. Nice enough atmosphere but horrible sewage smell, albeit faint enough but it's there. Good place for business meetings. Will go back for that but it's not as good as it once was and way too expensive, sort out that smell guys!

Had a lovely Shepherds pie here. Lovely old fashioned surroundings. Would definitely go again when I need a change from Chinese food.

Friends who have lived in HK for over 40 years took me here for dinner as they know owners and its one of their favorites. Some would call it dated but I was delighted to be transported to THE place in days gone by. Many "old standard" fine dining menu choices from steaks and seafood to pasta and salads.Enjoyed my... Jimmy's Kitchen is a classic spot on the island and also has a branch on the Kowloon side. The dining room here is very old school and makes you feel you are somewhere fairly stately. Before dinner, sit down in the deep red leather chairs at the bar and enjoy a drink before heading into the main restaurant. The steaks... More

I regret to say that in modern Hong Kong Jimmy's is far from the place it once was . No longer bursting at the seams at lunchtime both the decor and the menu suggest that the place has seen better days and the reality is that while the menu is extensive the food is of average quality and there are... Staying in Central

Neighbourhood Profile
Central
When people think of Hong Kong, most imagine movies with famous skyscrapers dominating the skyline. The area widely known as Central is the major financial hub and entertainment district, which truly lives up to the saying, “work hard, play hard.” Bars stay open late into the night and there just happens to be a street party every weekend. Although everything seems to be operating at lightning speed, Central is full of quiet, hidden gems. Nestled between office towers are wet markets and some of the city’s oldest restaurants dating back to the 1960s. Feeling a bit overwhelmed? Retreat from the crowds by exploring beautifully restored historical buildings and even a green oasis of botanical gardens.
