Had dinner here with some friends. Three of them ordered the laksa, which came with squid balls and tofu. The laksa sauce was okay though a little diluted. It was good that they had sambal though, which helped. I ordered the bak kut teh, which turned out to be the herbal rather than the peppery version. The three pieces of... More

Enjoyable lunch laksa, reminded me same tasty in Singapore - Yummy !! Lunch also available has other options, such as: rice Without disappointments, chosen normal laksa authentic - Cut shrimp in half and fish delicacy. Air-conditioner should be turn on in high level.

I had a wonderful Singapore meal here. The facility was very busy and was very clean. The place is well located as well.

You want to eat Singaporese food but you are fare away from there. Visit the Katong restaurant at Elements the mall above the Kowloon station. You can eat very gook Laksa soup and also eat the famous Singaporese chili or pepper crab. Price isn’t cheap but the food has all the value for what you pay.

I've seen queues of people waiting here whenever I've walked by during lunch - unfortunately, this did not represent good Malaysian/Singaporean food. Went for the most expensive laksa (Supreme laksa which was over HKD 80) believing that this would be their signature dish. The broth was good but the noodles were neither the typical yellow ones you get for a... More

We order several portions of Beef Rendang. The gravy was nice but the quality of the beef was absolutely unacceptable. About 1/3 couldn't even be chiewed nor cut with a normal knive. I am sorry, but the cook should be more selective in choosing meat in order not to spoil the reputation of the restaurant.

We had the beef rendang, the taste was ok, but the meat was the worst and cheapest quality i have ever eaten (resp. tried to eat). Approx. 60-80% fatt, the fatt was so strong you could not even bite off a piece. Dissapointing and not acceptable for the high price!

this one is at the elements, not mercer street as shown on trip adviser. food is great and on the expensive side which is understandable for a shop at the elements. Service? TERRIBLE!!! servers are worse than summer work students, when serving food, they bang the food on the table and then walk away without explaining what it is and... More

This is a bustling (at lunchtime) restaurant in which you wouldn't spend hours lingering over lunch - it's more of an order, eat and leave type place. That said, staff are friendly and the laksa is delicious. The soup base sometimes varies in terms of thickness but it is always tasty. If you are wearing something light coloured they will... More

Staying in Sheung Wan

Neighbourhood Profile
Sheung Wan
Unlike most of Hong Kong’s other popular districts, Sheung Wan welcomes wanderers with an easy-going, relaxed atmosphere. Art galleries are plentiful and boutique cafés are tucked away in every side street in the sub district known as “PoHo.” Browse through the vintage clothing and handmade leather goods stores – it’s no surprise fashionistas flock to this area. History enthusiasts will be rewarded with sites of beautiful architecture, reflecting Sheung Wan’s past as one of the earliest settlements by British forces. As night falls, the entertainment scene reveals itself to be just as laid back with its private kitchens, speakeasies and underground bars dotted throughout the area.
