I found this Lung Kee Restaurant or Dragon Restaurant (in English) in Queen Victoria Street in Central, Hong Kong. It is a simple local restaurant selling mainly roasted meat. I ordered a combination dish of roast pork with crispy skin and soya chicken served with plain rice. All for HK$52.- I requested chicken breast because I don't like to handle... More

Solid Hong Kong eatery. It's easy to miss from the road, but definitely worth a visit for a quick lunch or dinner. My wife and I ordered the fish and beef ball noodle soup, and the chicken and duck leg rice. Both were tasty and really well done.

The pork here is fantastic. My wife's a vegetarian and tried some. She absolutely loved it. It gets a little busy but they have seating upstairs. The staff was great and we got to see them cooking in the back kitchen. It was very clean and delicious.

Such delicious roast pork! I can eat it every day. Purchased several times during my stay in Hong Kong. Their other meats are also very good. Right by the mid-level escalator. Reasonably priced.

I visited this local roasted meats restaurant as part of the Hong Kong Food Tours, though it was listed as Dragon Restaurant, though I can't seem to locate it on TripAdvisor which has Lung Kee at the same address. With skyrocketing rents, it's a rarety that a restaurant has their own roasting oven. We had BBQ pork with flavoured rice.... More

We used to go to Yung Kee for roast duck and goose. But Lung Kee is a much better value. Service is quick with no fuss. We had delicious roast duck and roast chicken. And now that they have moved to their new address on 12 Queen Victoria it's much easier to find.

Basic restaurant and don't go into the kitchen as when we went the floor was very slippery with oil/fat/grease! However, the roast meat is delicious and really I'd like to give this restaurant a four star for that but the facilities are so basic that a three is more appropriate. The restaurant's address is 12 Queen Victoria Street so it... More

Excellent roasted meats, also served with a side of rice and vegs; wonton noodle soups; ice tea and other Hong Kong style drinks. The environment is very basic. It's a great value!

A great place that comes with great price and great wonton. (Really BIG wonton) If anyone is looking for wonton soup or noodle with wonton, I would recommend this place. The price is reasonable and affordable. There was English menu on the board as well. So, you don't need to worry about the language. The wonton noodle soup was great.... More

Have lunch twice here this week. Love their bbq pork and steam chicken on rice without sauce (sauce too fat!). Deeeelicious!!!!! Place is crowded during lunch time (1215pm to 145pm). Come early to find a good spot. Upstairs is better. You come for the food not really for the service.

Staying in Central

Neighbourhood Profile
When people think of Hong Kong, most imagine movies with famous skyscrapers dominating the skyline. The area widely known as Central is the major financial hub and entertainment district, which truly lives up to the saying, “work hard, play hard.” Bars stay open late into the night and there just happens to be a street party every weekend. Although everything seems to be operating at lightning speed, Central is full of quiet, hidden gems. Nestled between office towers are wet markets and some of the city’s oldest restaurants dating back to the 1960s. Feeling a bit overwhelmed? Retreat from the crowds by exploring beautifully restored historical buildings and even a green oasis of botanical gardens.
