We love Tsim Chai Kee Noodle wonton broth it’s outrageously delicious! The prawn wonton are huge, three to a bowl is amazing value for money. £3.30 per bowl the broth is rich and tasty packed with flavour and goodnesses. The egg noodles are fantastic, great texture.
Also love their chilli sauce it’s delicious.
We first visited this place on Hong Kong Central Foodie tour and it made such an impact that we had to return for our last meal in HK before returning home.
Now there seem to be someone who maliciously posted the same spam review under different names in all ratings categories, shame on them! They are losers and should not attack these people. This place is outstanding!

We got king prawn wonton noodle and sliced beef noodle. Prawn wonton was delish with three huge wonton and a lovely fish broth. The sliced beef had plenty of beef but the broth seemed fish based again which made the taste a little odd but still nice. We didn't realise the noodle options at the bottom of the menu and weren't asked which noodle we wanted so automatically got thin instant noodles but would of preferred flat. Lesson learnt! Over all price was great, food was tasty, served fast and we got seated fast.

Ths is a local favorite noodles place. Tsim Chai Kee is an unpretentious eatery serving Cantonese noodles at a modest price. While most come for the wanton, the fish ball is also great. The noodles is chewy as always.

Went to Tsim Chai Kee's because it is quite famous for noodles according to the locals.
It is located next to the police station down the basement.
Ordered the noodles with wontons and beef.
The beef was chewy and heavily marinated in flour/soda before it was cooked.
The wontons were big but extremely salty and the soup was salty as well.
Anyway, I think I am unlucky with Chinese food as you can see some hairy leg on a strand of noodle on my google review!

It was early, barely noon and the place only had a couple patrons, not a big restaurant and very basic. I was seated and the very nice waiter immediately came to get my order, the food was on the table in less than a minute!!!! I ordered the king prawn wonton noodles, you do have the choice of 3 kinds of noodles but I didn't see it until after my lunch, I had the yellow noodles in mine. The wontons were good, the noodle were al dente and very good, the broth maybe a little blend but you can always spice it up with side sauces on the table. Only locals came in during the time I was there which wasn't very long, the whole lunch probably took 20min. The staff was great, everyone was friendly and kind, they made me feel welcome

Small menu but does have English option. We went on a busy Thursday lunchtime and were seated in a couple of minutes, you sit wherever there is space so squeeze into the small tables. We both had the prawn wanton noodles which were delicious. Wantons were a good size and the whole dish was fresh and served quickly for about $6 AUD each.
Great local experience.

Saw this on trip advisor which happened to be very close to our hotel. Small choice of 1-3 dumplings in a broth with noodles.8 of us went and we were lucky to walk in getting a table. virtually as we ordered the food landed on the table. There is no fuss, I loved it but others might not like the way it was served, the limited choice but for me it was an experiences which came to £50 for all of us but for me it’s the experience and the simplicity of it rather than your expected Michelin star restaurant experience.

This is a Michelin star street food style noodle bowl dishes - they have three toppings of Giant Prawn Wontons, fish ball or beef. All are yummy and suggest you can choose three toppings in one, don't forget their fresh vegetables with oyster or bean curd sauce.

Had one day to eat some great local food and chose this place, as it has been recognized by Michelin almost every year.
But i was pretty disappointed, and I had much better noodles last week at a random place in Los Angeles that wasn’t even trying.
The food is perfectly fine, but if you’re like me and are looking for amazing local places on your trip to HK, I would suggest looking elsewhere

This Michelin recommended restaurant is very local and low key and only serves 3 things. But the wonton noodles are made with king prawns and are out of this world. We tried the beef too, and it was very good, but not as good as the wontons. Definitely worth a stop.

This restaurant was truly worth a visit. Their shrimp dumplings and noodles were very tasty. Two of us ate for well under 100 HK$. The older lady waitresses did not speak much English, but their smiles made our day!

A Michelin Guide recommended wanton noodle stall which personally feels that this can be skip. However, its the friendly staff who will be the reason why I will visit them again. Its hard to come by friendly service staff in HK.

Favorable experience from our prior HK visit in 2016 prompted us to come here on this trip after our walk to see Tai Kuan, the new attraction on Hollywood Road. Because we got there after the lunch rush the wait was short. The double combination (wonton and fishball with noodles) was a great bargain. It came with two wonton and two huge fish balls with chewy thin noodles cooked just right, and the broth was very flavorful. The vegetable side tasted fresh as well. Service was quick. Thumbs up to this all female staffed place. A very satisfying lunch.

Central
When people think of Hong Kong, most imagine movies with famous skyscrapers dominating the skyline. The area widely known as Central is the major financial hub and entertainment district, which truly lives up to the saying, “work hard, play hard.” Bars stay open late into the night and there just happens to be a street party every weekend. Although everything seems to be operating at lightning speed, Central is full of quiet, hidden gems. Nestled between office towers are wet markets and some of the city’s oldest restaurants dating back to the 1960s. Feeling a bit overwhelmed? Retreat from the crowds by exploring beautifully restored historical buildings and even a green oasis of botanical gardens.
