There aren't too many places you can get a good curry on Lantau and this is among the best. On the main strip as you exit left from the Ferry Terminal, we ordered the lamb curry and the lamb kofta. The food was good quality, but the curry was relatively bland. The kofta dish was tasty, but not big enough.... More

There's quite a choice of restaurants in Mui Wo, the ferry port on the east of the island. The Nepalese cuisine here makes this a popular choice. Look out for Lamb Thursday's. The Kofte were outstanding.

I enjoyed both the food dishes (we had some of the curry selection) and the service was very good. It's a shame the well named beer (gwai lo IPA) isn't quite to my taste.

Having dined several times at Deer Horn, it is the consistency which we find so nice and so reassuring, Always a warm welcome from the proprietress, and this coupled with attentive and speedy service makes for a most pleasant dining experience. Excellent food, with a good selection of Nepalese specialities, and good wines and beers (yes, they even have Gweilo... More

We came to Lantau Island for the weekend and this was by far our favourite eat. The place is full of chartacter, lots to look at. We ordered the yak cheese fritters, which were authentic. The lamb koftas were tasty and the serving size substantial. The cauliflower and potato currry was yum yum yum! The mojito was a little different... More

Ask the Nepalese owner/chef to explain the menu. The deep fried yak cheese and various curries are wonderful, including vegetarian options. I tried the beef curry with extra spice - outstanding. Some non-Nepalese dishes available too. Open all day. Very relaxed vibe. Beer on tap and a very limited wine list. Will take Visa and M/C. Excellent value.

One of the better places if not the best place for dinner in Mui wu. This is a great Nepalese restaurant with awesome service. Tried lamb kofta, yak fritters. All excellent.

I discovered this place with a friend of mine who lives in Hong Kong. I loved the food, the prices were very reasonable for Hong Kong standards and it's incredibly close to the pier: good when you want to catch a ferry. The lady who runs the place is helpful and kind. A good restuarant to go to when in... More

Great food (lamb kofta is to die for), nice drinks (try their signature mintjito) and warm service (the owner/cook is always smiling, chatty and helpful).

We live in South Lantau and come often to the Deer Horn . Pushpa gives such a friendly welcome and is also a fantastic cook . The Nepalese dishes are fantastic -momos , yak cheese fritters and the amazing red Dahl soup and the curries . However , if you fancy a pasta or risotto then you won't go wrong... More
