We had a lovely dim sum here. The ice milk tea is delicious too. It's quite cheap to eat here compared to other halal places.

The Dim sum was nice. You should try this and the prices are affordable. The service was fast and friendly. You should order fried rice too. The location is a bit far from MTR its about 15mis walking. This is the best Halal Dim Sum in HK!

This was an experienced that my family and I had to try and my kids loved every bit of the dim sums all made fresh everyday. Even if you are a non Muslim just observe the clothing requirements and come in and enjoy the dim sums. They serve lunch and inner only but get in quick as the crowds do... More

Best place to unleash your hunger when you've been craving for chinese food but not sure with many other restaurants in HK. Anyway, as you are in HK, try not to miss it!! Service is super fast, price is medium, portion is generous, place is on the 5th floor (by lift) & clean.

Visited this place due to high reviews. Was amazed by the spread and the authenticity of the Cantonese food available. Price was the most reasonable that I had encountered so far in HK. This place must be on the highest itinerary for Muslims in search of Halal food in HK!

This canteen is located in Masjid Ammar; The biggest mosque of the five in Hong Kong and about 10 mins walk from Wan Chai train station. A place worth to go for Muslims like myself where I could perform my solah and dine on the Cantonese Cuisine served at the canteen located on the mosque's 5th floor. The Dim Sum,... More

This is my 2nd visit to this so called canteen with few of my Muslims friend. The cooking remain good and upto standard. Went to this restaurant few times recently. Walking distance from times square,..as you exit from main entrance of times square just turn to the left and take a walk across the road (below flyover)towards the market, pass by the charterhouse hotel and the canteen is just back of the charter house ,on level five of the ammar mosque. Food very... More

It's a bit of a discovery walk to find the islamic centre but it was worth it. It's not so easy to find a lot of halal local food in Hong Kong so this was an awesome find for us. It was very crowded when we went and on the way we could see a few people with their GPS... More

Staying in Wan Chai / Causeway Bay

Neighbourhood Profile
Wan Chai / Causeway Bay
Wan Chai and Causeway Bay are the retail centres of Hong Kong Island. Filled with shops, malls and restaurants, both areas are bustling with people – tourists and locals alike. Causeway Bay has one of the highest rents on the planet, and is a bit more polished and modern than its Wan Chai counterpart. Beneath the surface there is more than meets the eye – find boutique stores in the above ground floors of buildings and wander into side streets to find interesting restaurants and shops tucked away from the main roads. Wan Chai especially has experienced a modern revival in recent times, with an influx of trendy restaurants and bars around the Star Street area. In addition, both areas contain many of Hong Kong’s iconic tourist attractions worthy of your visit.
