Went here about a year ago, it was very good. Fast forward and things were quite a bit different. Restaurant was half full and the food was not great. Steak sandwich, which was highly recommended was full of fat and no meat. Service was good, they tried hard but wont be coming back anytime soon.

The chefs here make some excellent quality food for reasonable prices. Have been here a number of times and consistency is excellent. However the waiting staff, I have found on multiple occasions, are generally dismissive and slow in reacting to customers' needs. A little more enthusiasm would make this place from good to great. The space is great - there... More

On arrival, having gotten past her scowl, the hostess told us, before uttering a single word of welcome, that she would need the table back by 12. This cool reception set the tone for a miserable brunch. Oolaa was (is?) an Hong Kong institution (for ex pats), but this is a venue trading on its past and seriously in need... More

Went here for brunch on a Sunday. Very full but staff very pleasant and we (2) were seated relatively quickly. Service was good considering the numers of people in there and food was good. Recommended.

I've been to Oola a lot of times, I absolutely love their breakfast meals. The Quinoa breakfast bowl is always tasty and fresh and makes me feel good eating so healthy. Their full English is massive but could improve on the quality of their sausage and bacon. Coffee is okay but overpriced. Although the food is good and a bit... More

There are so many bars & rest in this pleasant area tgat everybody should find its own favourite. Mine is Oolaa. It's not only the name calling the attention, although it is a good start. I've found this place by chance and besides during one of its daily happy moments: The afternoon happy hour during which the guests are greeted... More

Awesome lunch deal for under $200, salad bar, steak, desert and coffee! They have seated tables and also nice lounges. Great for a catch up with friends, or family time. On Saturdays they have a candy bar just for the kids - and it's free!!!

I've visited Oolaa many times and this place rarely disappoints. The menu is extensive, portions are good, service is usually prompt and polite and the food quality is generally good (something that can be hard to find at other 'western' style mid-range restaurants in Hong Kong). They also have a great lunch buffet. The only one criticism I would have... More

We were treated to an amazing breakfast with great bacon, Cumberland sausages and also superb eggs benedict. Service was also good and the staff were great.

Come to Oolaa if you are looking for a good variety of food in one place! A bit pricy but worth it if you want to enjoy a nice dinner. I particularly like Vietnamese rice paper spring rolls, mussels and seafood soup :)

Thank Татьяна К

Staying in Sheung Wan

Neighbourhood Profile
Sheung Wan
Unlike most of Hong Kong’s other popular districts, Sheung Wan welcomes wanderers with an easy-going, relaxed atmosphere. Art galleries are plentiful and boutique cafés are tucked away in every side street in the sub district known as “PoHo.” Browse through the vintage clothing and handmade leather goods stores – it’s no surprise fashionistas flock to this area. History enthusiasts will be rewarded with sites of beautiful architecture, reflecting Sheung Wan’s past as one of the earliest settlements by British forces. As night falls, the entertainment scene reveals itself to be just as laid back with its private kitchens, speakeasies and underground bars dotted throughout the area. When in Sheung Wan, everyday feels like the weekend.
