Stumbling across this restaurant, we could tell by the amount of locals that this place was the real deal. Dim sum was quality - my partner and I were super happy with the steam pork dumplings, bbq pork buns and the eggplant with fish dish. Simple, yet so tasty. The most surprising thing was the price of the meal, which... More

Service: fast and efficient service. No extra questions everything just happened. They even could bring the food at the same time so everything is warm. Can really get that service. Food: dim sum and shrimp dishes recommended. Avoid chicken

Foo Lum (should be called "Fu Lum") restaurants are very popular with the local people as there are many branches in Hong Kong and the prices are reasonable. It offers Chinese (Cantonese) food from morning till late night. In the afternoon, special discounts apply. It is not an upmarket restaurant but is ideal for a lunch or dinner, as the... More

It's the middle of the Lunar New Year holiday and we're wondering what might be open and fairly priced for a large group of friends. Foo Lum, in the heart of Wanchai, fit the bill nicely. It's a long-established place, I've been going there for years, and to be honest when I read some of the other reviews I wonder... More

I would not call this a "nice" Restuarant. It is a massive eatery for the locals, just a little more upmarket than an eatery. The price points are reasonable and so many locals patronize this place & is super popular. Many are regulars. There is a buzz at anytime of the day. From morning dim sum to dinner at night. You... More

We were trying to find a nice Chinese restaurant and asked somebody and they pointed in the direction of this one. After walking up flights of very dirty stairs thinking we were in a warehouse we arrived in the restaurant. They showed us to a table, we ordered quite a lot off food it took ages to come. After moving... More

We were attempting to find a location in Hong Kong where we could meet with friends coming from multiple locations via the MTR. We had a craving for Dim Sum! One friend found this restaurant via the internet and since it was close to the Wan Chai MTR station we used that as a convenient meeting location. It was about... More

Staying in Wan Chai / Causeway Bay

Neighbourhood Profile
Wan Chai / Causeway Bay
Wan Chai and Causeway Bay are the retail centres of Hong Kong Island. Filled with shops, malls and restaurants, both areas are bustling with people – tourists and locals alike. Causeway Bay has one of the highest rents on the planet, and is a bit more polished and modern than its Wan Chai counterpart. Beneath the surface there is more than meets the eye – find boutique stores in the above ground floors of buildings and wander into side streets to find interesting restaurants and shops tucked away from the main roads. Wan Chai especially has experienced a modern revival in recent times, with an influx of trendy restaurants and bars around the Star Street area. In addition, both areas contain many of Hong Kong’s iconic tourist attractions worthy of your visit.
