Stumbled onto this place while exploring Midlevel SoHo Hong Kong. It is right off the Mid Level Escalator, and it offered a great oasis for beer and food. My pizza was excellent, and my wife's sandwich was very good. Great ambience and an easy ex pat vibe. Apparently a historic hangout from the 40s. Recommended if you're looking for good... More

If the people at the bar had Irish accents you could swear you were in Dublin The place definitely has an Irish feel about it for me as far as the bar and decor goes. Put in a band with a fiddle and a Guiness tap and I was back in Dublin . Anyway, that is my view! But in... More

Called in for lunch. Welcoming staff, great food, and very good value for money given its location. One of the nicest pizzas I have ever tasted in my life! Great place to sit and watch the world go by.

It May be a nice Bar. Good touristy location and clean. But the Food is aweful. For around 20 USD I had a Pad Thai that was the worst I had ever. My friend had a Toast, simple and not yummy looking at all. Cannot recommendation eating here.

Pub sort of place. Popped in by accident for lunch when rain started pouring. Friendly attentive staff. Food was very good. They have a proper pizza oven (gas fired) and proper dough made with Italian tipo 00 flour. Sngry Orchard cider on tap - amongst others. No CAMRA-stuff though.

Love this place for watching the crowds go by while enjoying early evening drinks, or a late brunch.

Typically expensive for no particular reason . The average price for drinks generally in this area is £10 I'm sure they don't know the difference between mocktails and cocktails!!

We were starving and stumbled into the place just minutes before the heavy rain hit us. It was around 11 am so there were just a few people - a family of three quietly enjoying their breakfast, a table of Japanese tourists planning their trip and two men grabbing some drinks together. We both ordered Full English Breakfast. I had... More

This bar is located on Shelly Street , Soho Central. It is just off the escalator. I visited this bar twice during a recent weekend trip to Hong Kong and enjoyed early afternoon and evening drinks, having spent several hours exploring the sights of Hong Kong. The environment was very chilled and the staff were all very friendly. There were... More

My friend took me here for dinner after we had our drink. From the outside this place looks absolutely crowded! So initially I was discouraged, but you just need to squeeze through the crowd that were lounging in the bar to get into the restaurant and we easily got a table for 2. We had pizza to share, chose the... More

Staying in Central

Neighbourhood Profile
When people think of Hong Kong, most imagine movies with famous skyscrapers dominating the skyline. The area widely known as Central is the major financial hub and entertainment district, which truly lives up to the saying, “work hard, play hard.” Bars stay open late into the night and there just happens to be a street party every weekend. Although everything seems to be operating at lightning speed, Central is full of quiet, hidden gems. Nestled between office towers are wet markets and some of the city’s oldest restaurants dating back to the 1960s. Feeling a bit overwhelmed? Retreat from the crowds by exploring beautifully restored historical buildings and even a green oasis of botanical gardens.
