Eat here because a recommendation of a friend, in hindsight not such a great idea. This is no great cuisine , it's ranking in the overall restaurant list says it all. Don't waste your time & money here, go elsewhere where it is surely more refined and much better cooked. They should change cooks if they want to stay in... More

If you can't handle chilli hot - then this is not the place for you. But if you love chilli, then this is your place. Some Hong Kong friends took us for dinner and we had chicken, fish, zucchini with garlic, winter mellon soup, tofu, friend king prawns and for dessert - bean curd with palm seeds. Everything was knee... More

My go to Sichuanese restaurant closed so I am in search of a new of, one that is not for tourists, this one fits the bill. Hotel recommended it and it was very good. The $$ rating is to low needs to be $$$-$$$$. Don't go if you don't like spicy, we got a chicken dish that was covered in... More

This is a great Sichuanese restaurant in the LKF/Soho area. Is a small place, perfect for dinner for a group of people. For non spicy lovers, the potato strips and roast duck dishes are nice!

Walked into this little restaurant while we were exploring the Hollywood Road.. I can't believe my eyes see every dishes is above 180 dollars average. A dish of stir fried beef cost 400 dollars, for a second I really thought this is a Michelin star restaurant, but oh no it's just a regular Sechuang restaurant. The guy who greeted us... More

We shared the set menu and were delighted to have done so. The food was really good and spiced just right - a mix of very spicy with no-so-spicy. Liked the small space ambience, with interesting wall art. The service was excellent, with the waiter explaining the dishes served in good English. A terrific dinner. Delighted to have found this... The interior of the restaurant is cosy. Food authentic. Concept is on point and not over done. Service - awful! Served by a young lady in glasses last night - she was most unhelpful, short in her responses and most inattentive. I don't normally mind subpar restaurant behaviour but when a costumer asks you to elaborate on a particular detail... More

Had been here years ago when previous owner sang Chinese opera between the courses. Venue hasn't changed but the aesthetic is much more upscale now and not as intimate. Minimalist, black and white interior with simple, modern art on two walls. White linen tablecloths gave it a finished feel. We got here a little early and were seated in what... More

Recently I went with my friends for dinner at this restaurant. It seemed that this place required advanced booking and diners have no choice of a la carte menu but to take a set dinner provided. Cost was HK$380 per person (with rice), not including drinks, HK$10/ per person for tea, 10% Service charge. Total cost per person was about... More

Staying in Central

Neighbourhood Profile
When people think of Hong Kong, most imagine movies with famous skyscrapers dominating the skyline. The area widely known as Central is the major financial hub and entertainment district, which truly lives up to the saying, “work hard, play hard.” Bars stay open late into the night and there just happens to be a street party every weekend. Although everything seems to be operating at lightning speed, Central is full of quiet, hidden gems. Nestled between office towers are wet markets and some of the city’s oldest restaurants dating back to the 1960s. Feeling a bit overwhelmed? Retreat from the crowds by exploring beautifully restored historical buildings and even a green oasis of botanical gardens.
