Could be rated as an average Italian restaurant, if it were in Italy, but an excellent choice for Beijing. Prices are affordable, certainly higher than an Italian restaurant in Italy. Quality very good considering the difficulties of getting the materials. The spaghetti portion was small...More

I went there with colleague and Gian Luca made us a tailor made menu. We had the pleasure to eat in the veranda. First, the food. Everything was excellent and a special mention for the pizza...absolutely amazing! 2.5 years I live in Beijing and it's...More

Like many of the other posts, we were looking for something other than Chinese cuisine on our last few days in Beijing. At first it was difficult to find as it looks like its in an alley way. It is. But there is an opening...More

After 6 weeks in China, this meal was beyond words. The receptionist was kind and able to work in my group of 15 on short notice. We all ordered drinks, salads, entrees, and a few pizzas. Everything came out exactly right. The service was attentive...More

We found this place on Trip Advisor looking for something different to Chinese after spending a few weeks in China. We all had pizzas and they were some of the best pizzas we have tried. We were advised they were the Roman style pizzas, so...More

I went to this place tonight because it was the nearest Italian restaurant to my location and I had no time to go to Bottega, where I usually eat awesome Italian food. Horrible, caprese was made with very low cost mozzarella. Spaghetti with mushroom and...More

I hosted a business lunch at Eatalia Carpe Diem but would never dine there again. Despite assurances that the restaurant could accommodate my guests, they failed to serve half of the dishes I ordered. They were totally unapologetic about this abysmal failure and insisted that...More

We had a very nice dinner at this place. They have a good wine selection from ¥290 (U$40). They have many pasta types, from £60 (U$9). It is a nice place with goof service.

I dined here tonight Nov 16, 2016 with a friend. The decor is cute, however that was the best thing. The food took a long time to come although there were only 3 other tables. We waited a little over 1/2 hour for appetizers and...More

Description
About 18 months after successfully opening Eatalia La Dolce Vita, we gave birth to Eatalai Carpe Diem, a beautiful hidden gem located in the historic center of Beijing, adjacent to Houhai, Beihai Park and Jinshan Park. At Eatalia Carpe Diem, we have interlaced Chinese traditional architecture (hutong) with an Italian contemporary design while delivering Italian authentic food with the same passion. The restaurant has a wonderfu interior patio, a glass house on the second floor and an intimate rooftop. This magical venue is surrrounded by nut trees and pagodas in an environment full of culture and history.
